Did not see it posted here, also their website hasnt been updated to show it either, but there is a gun show in a couple weeks on the 22nd and 23rd.

Hunting / SB2845, You cannot take anyone under the age of 21 hunting anymore

Under bill SB2845, people under the age of 21 cannot own, possess, or control ammunition. Click the link to read the bill or submit testimony.

Every hunter should be submitting oppose testimony for this bill. There is a hearing tomorrow at 3pm, testimony is due 24 hours prior. you can also call your lawmakers. if you know anyone in DLNR, it might be good to call them as well. Sorry for the late notice, they tried to sneak this one under the radar. Even if you see this late there will be other opportunities to oppose this bill, just keep an eye out.
If this bill passes, you cannot take anyone under the age of 21 hunting, or target shooting. even though there are laws that allow you to loan a firearm to them, you cannot give them ammunition and they cannot possess or control any ammunition to use in the gun. Also, due to sb1230, if you get caught breaking this law, you can lose your right to possess and own firearms and ammunition for 20 years.

Hunting / What coating do you use for preserving deer antlers?

Got a nice buck on a recent hunting trip and brought the rack back home. Just wondering what I should coat the antlers with to help preserve it. It has some nice deep red/brown stuff on it and already rubbing some off when I was cleaning the meat and tissue off the cap.
So what do you guys like to use? shellac? some kinda varnish? leave it bare?

Reloading / loose primer identification

I have a dozen or so loose primers, is there a way to tell pistol from rifle?
