General Discussion / Rifle and Pistol Permits - Email Timeframe from Earliest Pickup Date

It's great we can request rifle and pistol permits to be emailed to us versus having to go back to HPD for pickup. Kudos to those who made this happen!

Questions:
-How long does it take to receive the notification email, from the earliest date in which you can pick up your permit? For example, if the earliest day you can pick up your permit in-person is Monday, February 24, when can you can expect to receive this email? I was advised that it may not occur on the first day your permit is legally available. It takes a few days due to staffing issues. I think it should be the same day your permit is legally available for pickup after the 14 day wait. What's been your experiences?

-Is the permit sent as an attached PDF to the notification email? Or, are you directed to a website that allows you to login and print the permit? From this site, can you download and save a PDF of your permit?

I've got a friend who is considering apply for a rifle permit. What information goes in the upper right section of the form titled, "Name of Individual/Organization (Other than AMDH) disclosing PHI"?

Is this your own doctor? Or is it another employee or doctor releasing your information not directly affiliated with the Hawaii Adult Mental Health Division?

Another company, Colt, folding to the anti-gun machine

Have a couple of older Colt AR-15s but would not consider Colt for new purchases since the market is flooded with other, better brands. However, it's sad to see companies folding to the anti-gun establishment. Walmart and now Colt. What's next? This is the sad part, our choices are being reduced, which is a big concern.

I was notified by a range officer on the rifle side that it's okay to bring a 9mm or pistol-caliber rifle on the PISTOL side. Could someone confirm this? Thanks in advance.
