« on: February 08, 2024, 10:43:29 AM »
Someone ask about if there registered firearm is leaving the State, what is the process?  Could you provide the link to the posting.

Sorry, I was planning to leave the State and take my firearms (if I had any, like macsac), so I just made a mental note about the topic, should have pdf the posting and save it, to be printed if needed.

For those who participated in Prime Sports AZ CCW Drive, your permit will be expiring shortly based on when it was issued.  You should receive a renewal notice, funny mine is dated April 13th, but the post mark is July 13?

Fillable form is available at:
https://www.azdps.gov/services/public/cwp
also attached.

Renewal application may be submitted 90 days prior to expiration or up to 60 days following.  Submit the completed/signed form, application fee, and copy of government-issued photo ID.

General Discussion / Glock 19 22LR Conversion
« on: November 18, 2022, 09:42:37 AM »
I am planning to buy my daughter a Glock 19 and also get a 22LR conversion kit for her personal protection and in case SHTF.  She is working on the mainland.

I want to ask if anyone has a personal preference or experience?  And any suggestion on where to order one?  I know of two: Advantage Arm and Tactical Solutions.
Thanks

Reloading / Shipping Primers (Ammo) to Other Island
« on: April 08, 2022, 02:09:41 PM »
I am currently not planning to take a trip to the other islands.  I was able to acquire some primers from SE and wanted to share some with my friend on the Big Island.  I have used FedEx in the past, so I loaded them into a box and added some 9mm for future use.  Went to the Lagoon Drive Ship Center and was told they no longer except ammunition and I would have to use a third party.  I emailed them and they quoted up to $350 for their services (pack in a container, paperwork, and label) and the FedEx cost of $135-145? :o

I called Aloha Ship and Pack and they said they process the shipment.  That was last week, I was not able to go until yesterday, now they said the were just informed the FedEx has changed their policy and they could no longer ship ammunition .

Does anyone know how I can get the primers and ammo to the Big Island, except on my next trip, 11 pounds at a time?  Thanks

General Discussion / Check your Statements
« on: February 26, 2022, 09:55:45 AM »
My wife is going through her credit card statement, she was notified that there were suspicious transactions and the account was frozen.  There were a many small transaction, so she is now going through each transaction and asking what did i buy, i need to see the receipt, i have to now justify each purpose or why am I buying this.  OBOY.  It almost slipped out, " what about your ..." then that little voice/filter saved me.

She heard that the R are stepping up their cyber attacks.  We should all be more vigilant or be sure to checking your statements.  I have a few accounts that I don't normally use that I started checking monthly.

I am trying to post a 45k pdf file, but get this error message:
Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.
Please consult your server administrator for more information.

Is the file to big, I normally post form the Office (slower internet connection from home)?

Reloading / Lead Casting Mask
« on: April 23, 2021, 11:10:34 AM »
My friend also does some lead head (bullet) casting and if I am able, will also be trying to do some casting.  I was wondering if you have some mask recommendations that I could buy and take with me.  Hopefully the supply/pricing situation is better now.  I have a few N95 that I have been saving for WSHTF.
Thanks in advance.

Reloading / Electronic Scale
« on: April 23, 2021, 11:01:19 AM »
My friend is using a powder measure to throw a slightly less load and trickling reaming amount.  He wants to start loading in volume and wants to cut done on the time.

I know that it really is a personal preference, but which would you recommend, RCBS or Hornady or another? and why, pro/cons.
Thanks in advance.

Reloading / 9mm, 38 Special, 357 Magnum, 44 Magnum, and 45 ACP Bullets
« on: September 13, 2020, 10:52:12 PM »
Due to ammo shortages, do you have you have any recommendation for a standard, self-defense, SHTF load.  Each would have their own requirements, but looking for load that function in most revolvers and pistols, especially in those SHTF survival situations. I know there are also powder and primer shortages and you will need a reloading press, but looking at options available, since not sure how long these conditions will last.

Also do you have recommendation for where to get bulk bullets (heads)?  Would you recommend coated or FMJ?  Is there a type or shape that you have found to be the best all around?
Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / Permit to Acquire or Register
« on: July 14, 2020, 11:31:57 AM »
I have been trying for the past week to get a permit to acquire at about 5am when I start work.  I just tried and I think I was able to get the only slot available for Oct 12th.  Have not gotten my email confirmation yet.  Does anyone know when they make the appointments available?

I am posting here so the "Guest" do start blocking out the slots.
