Funny thing I did a quick search on gunwatcher for that Colt 1911. Didnt find any but I found an Anaconda for sale at MSRP, a little cheaper than what I just paid a day ago. But that's just how it goes

Ive seen the anaconda at my friends shop in TX. Guess colt is pushing out 1 model at a time. Thanks for keeping an eye out.

I found a 6" Anaconda on a shop's website on the mainland. Mark up wasn't bad over MSRP. Of course I ordered it and now I will wait. It will be a great addition to my Cobra and Python

FFL was on vacation, so gun was mailed when they got back. A little delay, but I waited almost a year already so what's a few more days. Gun was delivered. It's now in the 2 week waiting period. After that I'll have the Anaconda in my hands 
I already reloaded some WC and SWC. And I have some hot ammo too
It won't be much longer.  Patience is a virtue in disguise

I will eventually get into loading handgun.  Will be trying to get close to the factory loads of 9mm 115gr and 124 gr.  Will likely eventually get into loading for revolver.  .44 ammo isn't cheap.

Sounds like a breed of dog. 

one thing I notice from just fondling the Anaconda is the action is really, really smooth.  in SA and DA.  I'll measure it on the trigger pull gauge later but just cocking the hammer and pulling the trigger in DA, it is very smooth.  doesn't feel like a light trigger but it is very smooth, no stacking.  trigger feels better than the Python
also pulling back on the cylinder release and opening/closing the cylinder feels really slick too, better than the Python.  feels like the Anaconda is a smooth operator.  this is my most expensive firearm that I own, and it's well worth it.      but haven't shot it yet
