I talked to a HFD guy this afternoon on the Koko Head Trail involved in the helicopter transport of an injured hiker. I told him I heard hikers are charged $3500.00 for a helicopter rescue. He laughed and said there is not a charge unless he needs an ambulance ride.

Then there's the issue of shooting at a fleeing criminal.  He's not a threat to you, and I don't think kidnapping is included in the rules of self defense.  Will the court look at that as a justified shooting?  Only rape, severe bodily harm and loss of life are legal grounds for using deadly force in most defense cases.

Deadly force is justifiable to prevent a kidnapping.

Looks to me like, unless you have an FFL, you can't  order ammo  powder, or primers to be shipped to Hawaii. Am I wrong? I hope so. You can order projectiles and brasd.

You do not need an FFL to order ammo, powder or primers to be shipped to Hawaii (yes you are wrong). You do need to order a large quantity to offset the ocean freight / hazmat fee. Ordering powder for example, may have a flat rate freight / hazmat fee of $450.00 for one to 100 pounds. Best (most economical) is to order 100 pounds but that's around $3,000.00 to $5,000 for the powder plus the $450.00 freight / hazmat fee.
