General Discussion / unwanted/inoperable airguns
« on: September 13, 2013, 12:43:53 PM »
I have a benjamin CO2 pistol that does not pierce the CO2 cartridge anymore.
and a Crosman CO2 reapeater that the magazine keeps falling out.
i just give up trying to fix them myself.

what do I do with unwanted and inoperable airguns?
they are just not worth it to me to fix.
is there somewhere locally that will take them?
I dont want to just throw them in the trash.
any suggestions?

Firearms and Accessories / what's your plinker?
« on: August 14, 2013, 09:11:02 AM »
not necessarily your favorite, or best, or most tactical.
but which of your handguns or rifles do you find yourself firing the most, which of your guns is your mule gun?

for me, lately its been my Beretta Neos .22
cheap ammo, easy to shoot, red dot sight, even cycles sub sonic ammo (so far so good).
i can shoot it all day long.
whatever else i bring to the range, i almost always bring my Neos along as well just so i can shoot off some lead.
i actually think my pellet gun has more recoil than my Beretta.
i think its mostly bc its a cheap gun that shoots cheap ammo.  i'm not afraid of shooting the crap out of it.
if i shoot the crap out of it and it lasts a couple years, i would have more than got my moneys worth.

Firearms and Accessories / Revolver show and tell
« on: June 03, 2013, 03:02:00 PM »
post pics of your revolvers
include any special facts, history of the gun, and/or why you got the gun.

I love revolvers
when i think of a handgun, the 1st thing that comes to mind is Dirty Harry's S&W .44 magnum
I like the simplicity of a revolver, the classic look, dependability, and ease of operation.
I also watched a lot of cowboy movies when i was a kid, so maybe thats where it comes from.

currently I have 3 revolvers:
Ruger GP100 .357
Ruger LCR .22LR
Ruger Single Ten .22LR (haven't picked this one up yet still at gun shop)
as you can tell, i like Rugers.  especially for a revolver.  S&W ain't bad either.

of my current revolvers the GP100 is my favorite
the GP100 has been around since the mid 80's i believe
it can handle any factory .357 round, or .38 of course
trigger is heavy in double action - 11.5 lbs, but in single action very manageable - 3.5 lbs
i can hit steel targets at the silouhette range at 75 yards pretty consistently with the open sights.

the LCR in 22LR isn't for personal protection, but more for plinking and practice for me
this is a relatively new revolver.
and i just like this polymer revolver.  its light, compact, the trigger is heavy but its smooth.
trigger is DAO, 11.5 lbs.  and it feels just like the GP100 trigger in double action.
when i got used to the heavy trigger, the accuracy is much better.

not the best pic
i'll take some better ones when i pick up my Single Ten.

I saw you have a SP101 in .357
but do you have any in .22LR?
or will you be getting any in .22LR?
