I got mine via regular mail, not certified.  I think I got it about 7 days before the 120.

I think it got too costly and time consuming to do it by certified mail.

At least you got a letter. They could explain to me why my letter wasnt sent out.

Heard someones 11/11/2024 application rejected because the shooting proficiency score portion of affidavit did not state 122 "out of possible 125"
Anybody else get this ?

    The LTC affis I've been using since March of 2023 (all accepted and approved) have never included "out of possible 125"

Getting mine today.  Exactly 113 days.

HPD also intends to spend $1 million for a new online firearm application system.

“This came out of a lawsuit that was filed against HPD for the long duration it took to file applications for the permit to acquire a license to carry,” Logan said. “So for that, we’ve incorporated trying to buy the software that will provide a 24/7, 365-(day) operational, online application process for individuals; they will no longer have to come down to the station and wait in line.”

“And then we can transfer those personnel who would be at the window helping individuals to do the background checks and speed up the process,” he added, “so that we can get applications out in 120 days. That doesn’t mean that people can’t go up to the window if they need to, but we’re working towards that.”

Approval letter received,  112 days total.

It was longer before the lawsuit.  You should see some counties in CA, 2 years just to get a RSVP to apply and cost $1500.

Don't know if anyone know (or cares), but wondering the routing process for the application.  I called asking about an "add-on" question, and the officer / helpful individual looked up my app and said it was routed up for the Chiefs signature.  I guess even after the Detectives / Investigator does their thing, they have had applications kicked back because something was missing.  I joked with him asking who was gonna sign after the chief retires, or I hope he gets to his stack before he leaves. 

I was hunkered down for the 120 day period, but curious the average time after it goes up and is signed and sent out.

Lucky guy..  mine supposedly went up for signature around the 3 month mark..  they signed and sent out at exactly 120.
