Republican Party needs your help

I joined the HRP a few months ago and started to attend some meetings and placed a few cold calls.
We need help. I didn't realize how much work it is to get information out and to get people involved. So if you are interested in changing the political landscape - please help us :shaka:

How is the local party here?  In Oregon when I ran a recall signature campaign to recall a democratic legislator that Bloomberg got elected only to vote anti-gun, the Oregon republican party not only didnt help but they directly sabotaged our efforts.  They were threatening to blacklist people from the party if they helped us, republican legislator sent in his girlfriend who lied to us and tried to steal money from several signature gathering campaigns that were going on at the same time.  I have zero trust in any party after what we went through.

(Despite the legislator saying on camera that "slavery was right for the times" he still has his seat 6 years later, so apparently the republicans did not want to replace him)

I joined the Republican party so I could vote for Trump in the Caucus.
By my value system I'm a Libertarian except when it comes to
National Defense. I vote Republican and I truly despise Democrats,
All of them.
Hawaii is a unique place, filled with wonderful people that are as dumb as rocks,
when it comes to personal freedoms and safety.
Fact of life, Democrats are rather like Couqui frogs.
Irritating to listen to.  Unfortunately they are also as dangerous
as Vipers.
Bottom line is there is only ~1.4 million people here.
Not even the population of a Small mainland city.
Nobody is going to waste money on stupid for just four
electoral votes.
We are on our own against the Democrat party.

why not libertarian for national defense?
I'm a Vietnam era Vet.  I'm "service connect" disabled.
I believe the best defense is a vigorous offence.
Libertarian party is very isolationist.

Whether or not you believe it's good or bad, we have a 2-party system here.

Why do you think Bernie is running as a Democrat and not an Independent?

When was the last time an outsider (not RNC or DNC) won a race for high office?

Whether it's Green, Libertarian, Democratic Socialist or Independent, no third party will ever have the votes to beat all candidates on a ballot with and (R) or (D) by their names.

It's naive to believe our system will change soon.  Unless someone more popular than Trump, richer than Bloomberg, and more charismatic than George Clooney runs as a 3rd party candidate, it's unlikely the masses will break from their habit of voting for a Dem or GOP candidate.

More and more people are labeling themselves as Independent, but that's to avoid having to choose either of the corrupt big two.  In the voting booth, however, they will on average tend to vote as they always have.

I'd like to help, but I'm staying neutral on party matters as I work with many legislators on both sides.

I wish all references to party were eliminated in government, like on the ballot for elections or party references at the capitol like Majority/Minority party or Democrat/Republican.  They can do all that stuff outside, but not inside government.

Libertarians are an interesting group with theoretical promise for small government, low taxes, independence, social rights, etc.  In reality many of them are just focused on legalizing marijuana and crazy stuff.  They do have a couple of promising candidates this year who are focused on real issues.
