Aloha!
Not sure if was mentioned here before or is already in the works, but having a "Multi-Quote" option would be great.  Other forums has this Multi-Quote option and IMHO it rocks. Mahalo!  :shaka:
How's about adding a thanks or like feature?
Tried something like that before, but some people abused it....

 :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:  ( Sorry, just being a smart ass, or dumb ass as the case may be )

Just hit the quote button on each post and it gets loaded in the quick reply box.

-or-

From the reply screen, scroll down to the selected post and hit "insert quote"

If you're in 1 thread you can keep hitting insert quote or quote as 2A said.
It'll add as many quotes as you want.

If you're transferring a quote from 1 thread to another or want to add a quote past the screen limitations for number of posts:
Open a new tab with the post you want to quote
hit quote ( top right corner )
Copy and paste the quote in reply (reply comes up automatically when you hit quote) into your reply in the other thread.
Just make sure to include the
Quote
symbols in the copy and paste.

KK might have an easier way.

How about a Member Only section where folks have to be logged in to view?  (Similar to how the classifieds section works?)

Certain discussions could be done there. And admins have the ability to ban.

I have this on one of my forums. I suggest it either be a paid for system or require the person to send a copy of their DL to the Admin with the number blacked out. Or what I finally did is to require the poster to have at least 100 (or 500 or 750 etc.) posts under their belt prior to being allowed in. The reason I went with a certain number of posts is that if Knudsen or someone we don't want to have access to that room was willing to pay the price of admission then he would have access. I tried the paid for system and got people in I didn't want. I then tried the DL system and most people don't want to send a stranger their DL. But the required number of posts system will give everyone a chance to get to know the poster prior to letting them join. And even if they make the required number of posts the Admins can still deny access.

Just a suggestion.

One other suggestion...

1. Reach out to all the firearm-related clubs and identify a moderator for their group.
2. Create a private forum for their club that their moderator has admin access to.
3. Ask them to have their members sign up on 2ahawaii and the moderator can give them access to their private club board.

This will bring all the firearm-related clubs on 2ahawaii and improve everyone's communication ability overall.  Legislative session is coming up and we need to be better coordinated for those anti-2a jerks / bills.

2aHawaii, is this possible to set up?

I have tried to do this in the past but didn't ever get much of a response. I'll look into reaching out to them again.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions. I'll look at setting up a post-count-request access forum.

That is a great idea.  Maybe now that 2aHawaii is much more of a force, more participation in clubs and group can be obtained.  I will contact some people I know and run by them.

I just got another idea. Instead of post count, what if we used trade count so people actually met you face to face.

A search function that gives you the flexibility of setting parameters like:

1)  searching in subjects, text or both;
2)  postings by dates (i.e., last day, week, month, year, etc.)
3)  by author;
4)  containing all or part of the words in the search string; and
5)  boolean search capabilities (and, or , not)

If you can create the suggestion Jl is talking about, there are many of us who would willingly approach the leaders within these groups to prove its legit.

I've had been all ready to set up areas for groups similar to the vendors. If any leaders of those groups want to have a space on the forums, PM me.
