General Discussion / Re: CMP to sell surplus M14 rifles
« on: August 10, 2026, 09:30:50 PM »
Some updates from a CMP interview:

"We're expecting between two and 3,000 shotguns from the Army. We expect them, probably in the fall of this year (2026)," he said. "438 of those are the 1897 Winchester trench shotguns." Yes, the Browning boomstick that makes Germans cry "warcrime" is coming to the CMP for civilian sale.

Holy slam fire Batman!

A new opinion has been issued by the 9th Cir Court of Appeals in Wolford, based on the SCOTUS ruling.  You can continue carry with a CCW license on private property open to the public without a guns allowed sign/explicit permission.  However the preliminary injunction has been dissolved,  therefore you cannot carry in parks/beaches and places that serve alcohol from now on. The lawsuit now goes back to the district court.  It is likely these restrictions stay in place for Hawaii until SCOTUS reviews sensitive places again or another SCOTUS ruling has some sort of unexpected far reaching effect on this.

It's going to be a while.

Maybe the 9th should have watched the video of that lifeguard almost get murdered as he was trying to rescue a kid from an angry mob who were continuing to stomp him after he lost consciousness.

It wasn't that long ago.

My car doesn’t have a computer. Sometimes I whisper conspiracy theories into the fuel tank when I’m filling up and get a couple extra miles running on pure spite.

Interesting how the news is like:

"We usually don't showcase violent content, but we will make an exception for this guy"

Someone needs to investigate the amount of CCP support these "indigenous rights" organizations are getting.

Kinda funny how it's very difficult to find videos of Jordan on youtube.
Almost like the techbros and news media are horrible people who want us disarmed and helpless.

The videos on social media show why it's good to practice shooting and moving, because apparently he took one in the chest.
There's a gap between the first and second volley where a quick reposition might have prevented the psycho from lining him up in the sights.

Also the 5.7 has higher velocity and can tumble in theory, but 9mm consistently makes a bigger wound channel and disrupts more tissue.
The difference in seconds it takes for the psycho to become incapacitated must feel like an eternity.

Admirable work though. He saved lives and it sounds like he will make it home. Most other folks were too busy messing with their phones.

The only change I notice between then and now is "journalism".

Then you clearly have not been paying attention

Soros bought our prosecutors and weaponized the court system to create chaos

Communist educators have taught the kids that western civilization is evil

Migrants who had no intention of assimilating were brought in and given lots of free stuff

Now we are surrounded by nihilistic assholes with vaccine damaged brains who are itching for violence

San Diego, El Paso, Miami, New York, Vermont…

This is exactly what it would have looked like

Trump is not the only one who dodged a bullet

Spain is showing us what we narrowly missed out on

The twist...

Prior to the attack, a boy not affiliated with the California group reportedly had started an altercation with several local teenagers before running away and asking the California family for help.

Doesn't really matter how it started. We've given permission to a segment of our population to go full caveman whenever they feel like their ego is bruised, and now we are reaping the rewards of that sociological experiment.

Could it be all the new doctors and engineers?

These guys aren't even across the border for 5 minutes and they are already setting stuff on fire.

Police chief lied about being in Texas during the shooting.

Reporter called him out. Police chief tried to fight the reporter.

The attitude reminds me of Bissen and Pelletier.

When they don’t tell you who it is then you know exactly who it is

Two people decided to have a gun fight at a food festival in an ultra-leftist city and didn't give a second thought to using the crowd as a backstop.

Almost 24 hours later and no description yet.

Kinda tells you everything you need to know.
