Being oceanfront, I've been using Ospho for decades.
Problem is you need rust for it to work !
Guess I'll have to sand down my glock uppers and leave them outside in the rain this weekend.

  Another good product is RustCop
https://petroleumservicecompany.com/carwell-rust-inhibitor-rust-cop/
Can be used on dissimilar metals where electrolysis will occur., eliminates moisture containing salt, dirt, and air pollutants from the surface of metal, lubricates moving parts, 100% non-conductive with ability to remove and repel moisture,  replaces the use of di-electric grease for batteries, fuse boxes and wiring during the "Periodic Maintenance schedule."
Downside is "Periodic Maintenance schedule." means every 6-9 months here in Hawaii.
Been waiting to spray the underside of my "Brand New" 2010 Tacoma with Rust Cop but weather been holding me off

« on: March 28, 2026, 08:33:24 AM »
Me and sonny boy took a truck load of cleaning supplies, buckets, bags, clothes etc up to Waikele the other day. Man how the community (and some from other community's) have pulled together in a coordinated effort. Our government should work so well.

On another note, Got a washer that  got flooded that fills and drains but does not agitate/spin?  Sometimes all it needs is the motor capacitor located behind control panel replaced.
Remove the hex head screws on each side of the back of control panel, pull panel back and tilt up. Capacitor located on right side mounted to washer.

Mine was bad (I did not test cuz I already knew from symptom) and I replaced it for $33.50 which is cheaper than replacing washer for $650.
You can test yours with most Fluke or similar by discharging cap and test farads (google if you do not know how). Beware, capacitor may still be holding electrical charge before discharging but if the above symptoms are there, it's probably the cap
I bought several and I have one more brand new capacitor this size in Laie, $33.50.

Rather personal question, don't ya think ?
Had 14" in the back hallway (Rockette was not happy with it at all. )

I woke up to the sound of "bump in the night" around 1 am Friday which ended up being things falling off the shelves.
Turned off the downstairs breakers and jumped in the save shop vacs, batteries and all other electrical devices and then started pulling food stores from lower shelves and placing them higher.
Mostly one gallon containers on lower shelves like bleach, vinegar and cooking oils.
Moved all upstairs till this blows over.

After clean up, freezer was still good (after literally floating), dryer did not fire up, washing machine questionable, 2 lawnmowers submerged and will be working on Jacuzzi pump motors today.
Ironically, the power stayed on

Preparedness and Survival / Re: Prep Test Sucess
« on: March 15, 2026, 01:13:51 PM »

Our power was out from Friday 8:45 am till 4:20 pm Saturday.
We had lights, hot food, hot showers and didn't miss a beat.
Already cleaned out the gutters Wednesday/

Sorry but other than mom, your just enabling the kids.
If they were prepped, they could have taken care of Gigi and you (nor SIL) would not have had to drive.
JMNSHO.

Our power went out about noon at Mililani Mauka.  It did not go back on until 3 am. the next day.  My mother-in-law lives in Ola Loa a senior living community.  The power was out and only went on this morning a 1am!

Gotta find out why.  Poor senior citizens must've been having a hard time.  My wife and I visited her mom twice to heat water for her and heat up some food to eat.  Then my sister-in-law went to stay with her.  Auwe!

And my grown daughters also live in Mililani Mauka.  One had her power out the same length of time as me and my other one was just like my mother-in-law:  Power came on this morning at 2am.

I've always my whole life kept flashlights, batteries, stoves, butane cannisters, lanterns, candles and all kinds of emergency stuff like water containers, etc.  I remind my kids and their inept husbands to do the same.

And guess what.  Guess who is driving all over fricken Mililani Mauka to deliver batteries and lanterns, and butane cannisters, and flashlights?

Yours truly since my kids no like listen. :grrr:  Rather spend their money going karaoke, Chile's, Zippy's. and eating Hot Pot.

Damn keeeds..... ;D

They going get one lecture from me (again) after all this blows over.  Gunfunnit....

Posting this as a reminder that sometimes, the difference between hell on earth, and peace & safety, is gonna be you.

… and this cadet rose to the occasion, and is rightfully called a hero.

Police arrived at the scene to find the armed terrorist deceased by bladed weapon.

Would have enjoyed reading more about the heroic cadet vs shooter.

Other cases where there's no threat of violance but entry is unlawful.

  Do you mean "butt entry"
I was referring to  "forcible sodomy".
I mean aren't Death, Serious bodily injury, Rape and Kidnapping all done by "force" ?

“  Legislature for House Bill 1636, held a hearing on the bill.
No one spoke in favor of it. It was opposed by Hawai‘i Food Industry Association, KTA Super Stores, and Retail Merchants of Hawai‘i.
It passed anyway, with seven ayes from Representatives Ilagan, Hussey, Holt, Tam, Templo, Yamashita and Gedeon.
'“This bill exists, and is being stubbornly defended over public opposition, ''

The duties and responsibilities of a legislator are . . .
Lawmaking: Legislators are primarily responsible for creating, amending, and passing laws that address the needs and concerns of their constituents.
Representation: Legislators serve as representatives of their constituents. They act as a voice for the people who elected them and advocate for their interests. This includes understanding the concerns and needs of their constituents.
Constituent Services: Legislators provide assistance to constituents by addressing their concerns, answering inquiries, and assisting with issues related to government agencies and services.

So if legislators are not addressing the needs and concerns of their constituents acting as a voice for the people who elected them and advocate for their interests or providing assistance to constituents by addressing their concerns, are they not violating their duties and responsibility's ?

I got the big berkey and a decent supply of backup filters

Biden's EPA went after them using some crazy legal justification so that must mean they actually work
Built a big berkey w/ 2) 5 gallon buckets and all filters including carbons for a fraction of the price
