     (1)  An employee of the department of law enforcement conferred with police powers by the director of law enforcement; or

     (2)  An employee of the department of land and natural resources, department of taxation, or department of the attorney general who is conferred by law with general police powers,

after June 30, 2026, who has a history of employment with United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement or Border Patrol for any period after June 30, 2026."

A hearing for this is coming up.  I know some ICE/Border guys working here.  Hope they retire in the feds if this passes.

Could just be coincidence but there was a video where she looked at the "attacker" and nodded a split second before he acted.

It's more convincing when they slowed the video down.

But could be coincidence.  Because Omar is an upstanding American citizen that is honest, sincere, and cares deeply for her constituents, the Nation, and all Americans in her new Somalia.

I saw vids of this and it didn't look like an obvious "nod", it's so small if any that IMO it's being over analyzed.

if it was highly acidic there would have been a pain response which she did not exhibit.

What if this was done to an Asian person?  I mean, just add shoyu and thanks for the dumpling sauce.  Save 50% of the cost.

General Discussion / Re: trans school shooter (canadia edititon)...
« on: February 12, 2026, 10:48:55 AM »
Do people not understand the purpose and wisdom of parables anymore?  Are we so much smarter now that all basic human knowledge is shunned as being old and outdated?

There are variations of a story (fable, parable, ...) which has been retold in several popular movies in the past 20 or so years.  One version is about a woman who saves a snake from freezing to death, and another about a frog that agrees to give a scorpion a ride to cross the river.  Both end in similar language, "It's not my fault I killed you.  You knew what I was."  The lesson being that everyone and everything that breathes has a natural behavior, and if you deny that fact, it's your fault when the situation turns bad.

We are not just affirming mental illnesses, but we actually celebrate them as a society.  The Internet provides a forum for any and every form of psychoses to parade in front of the world even as many.most of us who see the nature of their condition as harmful -- to children, to adults and to themselves.

The transgender sports, public bathroom and school shower controversies have catapulted transgender issues into the public arena front and center.  The Left has circled their wagons so tightly they can't even define what a woman is any longer -- a classification that's as old as sexual reproduction among all animals and plants.

Now we are seeing a fast rising rate of mentally ill people who claim to be trans committing mass murder -- no different than others who committed murders because the neighbor's dog told them to or because they wanted to beat the "high score" of mass shooting with the highest body count like it's a video game.

If anyone says they are surprised with the number of transgender mass shooters, they are probably one of the trans rights supporters pushing for biological men in ladies rooms, school locker rooms and women's-only sports.

They knew who the mentally ill were, but they treated them the same as mentally healthy people anyway.  Who's fault is it when bad things happen?

^^^This.

Adding on that being trans is being celebrated or reinforced with positive wishes.  Instead of saying "hey, you need help", or them just doing their thing and not parading it in front of people.

We are already seeing the effects of those in control promoting this mental illness. Womens sports will end down the road if this isn't stopped now.

Our country is so well off that people find problems where there isn't one.  As in, so you're a tranny, fine. But just leave it at that.  No need to have a parade, pronouns on social media, enter womens sports, etc...

A fake incident?
Possibly but I doubt it. Could she actually find someone willing to go to jail to make a stunt to help her?

I can believe she wasn't thinking straight when it came to needing to decon since people don't think as clearly when provoked.

I see news reports saying it was vinegar but haven't seen any mention of what percentage. Vinegar is an acid and at higher concertation can be more dangerous.

Time will tell, if the guy doesn't go to jail or any conviction, then we know it was staged 100%.

Political Discussion / Re: Superbowl half tyme show

There is speculation that NFL is trying to expand to other countries in the Americas which could explain the halftime show being in spanish. Makes more sense if viewed in that angle, new market = more money.

I found it odd that they didn't at least include subtitles though.

Ultimately I don't care because I don't watch sports, don't care about music, and it was ultimately heavily politicized by all the people instantly rushing to say whether it was better or the TPUSA show was better.

My deaf cousin was with us watching the game.  We had closed caption on for him and the subtitles o nthere were in spanish.

Dan Bongino show mentions that the winning players get a bonus of $178,000.  But due to taxes, they must also pay 3.5% of their base income.  So some end up paying $250K in taxes for playing in CA.  WHich means a loss of $70K to play in the superbowl.

I'm going to assume this is accurate as Bongino post majority accurate stuff.

"I'm an athlete representing my country, the United States of America.  I will abstain from answering your questions relating to current political matters happening in our country today.  I am here to compete in good faith with other athletes in the world in the name of sportsmanship and goodwill".

What's so hard.  A sample of a nice way to tell MSM to go f*ck themselves.

Unfortunately, most athletes today can go f*ck themselves also with their attitudes.

My opinion, of course.

That's a good reply.

Why are you looking to upgrade?

Attroney's Alan Beck and Kevin O'Grady are representing them.

HRS says permits to acquire shall be issued/denied by the 40th day,  it's past that.

This is precious.

The whole thing is.

Are you confused about where you are posting this shit?

Every damn one of us viewed multiple videos of this shit-bag insurgent intervening in, and grappling with, the officers, while they were involved in an arrest - KNOWING HE WAS CARRYING!

Then, we learned HE DID THIS SHIT REGULARLY - carrying while assaulting officers carrying out their duty to arrest criminals.

Get the fuck out of here with this IDIOT REVISION SHIT!

Thank you

He left out, "then you (the CCW holder) fights/resist officers."

Pedestrian in roadway is a minor offense and not something ICE even addresses unless he is blocking their vehicles. They didn't even focus on him until he tried to help the lady up. Either way it doesn't factor into whether the shooting is justified or not.. Yeah he is breaking some law but he is in the camp of those protesters who daisy chain themselves to block roadways. Arrestable offense sure but not a lethal force one.

Goal post moved.

" Arrestable offense sure but not a lethal force one." what's the point of this statement?  Are you unaware of how little things can escalate to bigger things that do justify the use of lethal force?

If a student group on campus decided to hold a protest against a new firearm law restricting gun rights, would have the same level of reaction?

We may not agree with the cause but this is still a lesson in civics, so it isn't antithetical to school. Learning what protests/rallies look like, learning what someone can and cannot do at a protest, etc.
Maybe the best idea would have been to let students pick between sides and you could have two groups holding signs, 1 in support for ICE, the other criticizing ICE.
I remember doing a current events session in high school. I had selected an article about some gun law at the time and following the article was a somewhat contentious discussion about the topic with my pro-gun rights stance being in the minority among the students.

I would have a problem if students were forced to protest or forced to pick a certain side.

Yes, I would.  Any protesting should be done before or after school as it's not the schools responsability.  And not on school property.

The issue isn't reading comprehension, it is critical thinking, or the lackthereof, that went on in that thread upon which I based my comment.

It's actually many things.

I've enjoyed learning how they create sci fi guns from real ones.  Like the M41A Pulse rifle, Starship Troopers 1 as in the 2nd one, they used flash lights instead of blanks.  Super lame.

This doesn't sound like the "paper bag" IMO.  I mean,a politician could add up many donations to equal roughly that amount.

The real question is, why would she address this?

When the Super Bowl commercials became a big factor in keeping people's attention regardless of what was happening in the game, they started charing $1M+ for a 30 second ad spot.  However, once people discovered they could avoid the game and still watch the commercials online at their leisure, the number of people watching just for the commercials went way down.  That's when the corporations tried do pre-game-week ads just to get more ad revenue for early ad views.

Now you can get the whole game, ads and halftime show on demand -- plus you can bypass all the political BS if you want.

Trying to market and capitalize on a sporting event like this is getting tougher as access to the event's broadcast gets easier and cheaper/free.

The commericals also weren't as entertaining as the years have passed. IMO the best was during the Buuuuddd....Weissssss...eeeerrrrr era.

If you want to be entertained, you normally have to be naive or be able to suspend disbelief.

It's hilarious when someone watches a movie that's nonstop far-out fantasy and then complains about some mundane scene as "not believable!"  I saw someone watching Groundhog Day for the first time, and her big hangup was that each day was being altered by Phil's (Bill Murray's) actions, but he continued to run into the same people in the same sequence even though he would have been arriving at that time earlier or later each time.  Out of the whole situation, THAT'S what she couldn't believe??

Almost like the grandfather paradox.

It's funny because I was thinking about this film.  I mean, is daily life really that different from a repeating event?  We wake up, have the same morning routine, go to work, do stuff after that's usually the same, come home, go to sleep.  It's mind over matter. I mean, it's not like he was in an isolated area by himself.  He had an entire town at his disposal.  So no need worry about money, health, dying, etc...

I forgot to mention when the ED209 lit the executive up, no windows behind him were broken. that's some good non-penetrating rounds. lol.

I didn't grow up learning about guns. So now that I am, I view movies in a different way now. Esp movies that I haven't seen in a while.  How about you guys?

Example:

Watching Robocop 1

The "holes" that's being left in the target when Robocop 1st shoots at the range are huge.  Even a 3 wound burst wouldn't do that.

When Murphy enters the warehouse, his "room clearing" is laughable.  I mean, entering a huge warehouse type facility when it's 6 vs 2 is laughable too.

During the car chase in the begining, all those shotgun shots and neither Murphy or Lewis were hit.

During same chase, guy gets thrown onto their windshield and he either dies or is knocked out.

Guys I know in the military say the same.  But they also commend when things are done correctly and it's not a military film.

Example:

In sucker punch, when the 3 women are doing team things, a tap to the leg is noticed to show that the shooter is ready.  And this isn't a "military" type film where a small detail like that is needed.

But in the end "mom and pop in Oklahoma" wanna see things and be entertained.  This phrase is a saying that it doesn't have to be accurate, as long as it makes for good film as mom n pop don't know the difference.

And the fact that "it's just a movie" so things don't gotta make sense.  But still, hard to not notice.
