"We do not belong on this mountain, this is sacred land. We don't want your jobs. This is all about tourism and not about helping the community," said Melissa Allen.

OK no problem...

PGA Tour leaders have not yet renewed the Sony Open for next year and the Sentry golf tournament was cancelled this year due to a shortage of water in Kapalua.

"The tournament on Maui in Kapalua has a $50 million economic impact," said Mufi Hannemann, president and CEO of the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association. "The Sony Open in a good year could be a $100 million."

That's in addition to the invaluable marketing of Hawaii.

"It is one of the busiest booking days as people are in January," said Keith Vieira, founder of KV & Associates Hospitality Consulting. "It's freezing where they're at they're watching four days of sunny golf in Hawaii."

The competitions also benefit local nonprofits, giving a million dollars each in charitable contributions, not to mention attracting thousands of spectators.

"So to lose these two events would be a very devastating blow," Hannemann added.

This comes as Hawaii tourism suffers blow after blow with visitor numbers lagging because of rising costs and political uncertainty.

And with more golf events to compete with in other locations -- it's an uphill battle.

"When you add to the fact that if this should cancel that we've got basically no marketing dollars going on -- less than 30 million -- that happens in the marketplace, it's just going to make things worse and worse," Vieira said.

If not stopped, the same insects violently protesting immigration laws, the removal of criminal illegal aliens, and who demand the theft of billions of our hard-earned dollars to fund their destruction of our country, etc.,

… will turn Hawaii into the Port Au Prince of the Pacific.

Hopefully, the economic destruction they are causing will be enough to get the remaining adults here - who have everything to loose, BTW - up off their asses and at least committed to putting slightly less energetic Communists in power.

…. Hopefully

My daughter works as a bar server at the Hilton Waikoloa and she has been working 6 days a week lately, so they must be busy.

She is looking forward to the Super Bowl, not because she likes football, but because it is the biggest tip day.  $800-1000 in tips is the norm on Super Sunday.
