Hawaii Taser Case Filed
« on: April 02, 2018, 02:14:05 PM »
I filed my most recent stun gun case challenge today. We are challenging Hawaii's ban on stun guns on 2a grounds.  I have already been successful in challenging New Jersey, New Orleans and Annapolis's stun gun bans.  I am still litigating in New York state. Big Thank to LaRue Tactical for supporting the case. The plaintiff is London808

Thank you!

The stun gun ban repeal bill that Senator Gabbard kindly introduced at my request didn't even get a committee hearing (despite noting the SCOTUS unanimous per curiam re MA stun gun ban is unconstitutional), so the only way we will ever get any relief on any of these infringing laws is via lawsuits... and even then there's the Ninth Circuit to deal with.

Thanks for taking this on and attempting to force Hawaii to recognize the Constitution(s). Good Luck!  :shaka:

Thank wolfwood I’m just some one who has a valid complaint. Without him this would of been near impossible

And note that Wolfwood thanked LaRue Tactical for their support in making it possible. Might want to consider sending some business their way if the occasion arises. https://www.larue.com

For example, the LaRue Tactical MBT-2S Trigger is currently priced at $99 and has some excellent reviews. https://www.larue.com/products/larue-tactical-mbt-2s-trigger/

I've never heard of them.  I'm still kind of new.  When I buy stuff, shall I say "wolfwood" sent me from Hawaii?  Or another name.  Feel free to PM me if needed.

Larue Tactical has awesome deals for various optics and their own brand of optic mounts as a combo.

The State filed a statement with the Court.  Read the end of it. The State is largely conceding it will need to rewrite its law.

So in other words the State wants to wait until spring to create a "may issue" taser permit.

We are not going to agree to anything  that just let's the legislature on good faith write a new law.

However this concession deos make it seem like the State will agree to some sort of consent agree like we did in NJ in which the State agrees that the law is unconstitutional and needs to be rewritten.

LOL.  Tasers are illegal here?  LOL.  Why?!  I didn't even know.  Oh well, we will just keep ours and continue to carry them.  BS law anyways.

Be careful of pepper spray.  You need a permit for it on Kauai.
