Interesting. The AMU loads virgin cases with crimped in primers. From I hear their loads are hot. For example, a 77 SMK flying at 2900 fps

I don't do that precision type of shooting so while this was really interesting, it is not so much applicable to what I do. But thanks for sharing this. I'm always interested to read about what others are doing. To me, reloading is a constant learning process.

When I first started reloading .223/5.56 I bought military style ammo and prepped 1,000's and 1,000's of LC and Fed once fired cases. I finally realized after all the work that I was not saving much money over buying commercial LC brass. So now I give away all my military style brass and as I get low I just buy new commercial LC brass by the 1,000. Maybe I'm getting lazy?

I do the same as the AMU posts.
Once fired LC cases get deprimed then wet tumbled. Annealed for 6 seconds. Spray lube (made with Lee resizing lube in 99% alchohol). Sized on a Lee single stage. Primer pockets swaged with a Dillon. Trimmed with a Giraud TriWay. Wet tumbled. Dried. Final dry tumble in corn cob with NuFinish (I like bling) . Primed and loaded on a Dillon 550. No crimp.

The brass gets shinier, <bling bling> than what is in the video after a wet tumble and a dry tumble through NuFinish. 8)
