Coming up on the deadline for bill introduction, last ones should come in tomorrow morning...but don't forget gut and replace!

AG's electric gun ban repeal is out HB 1473.  Lee put out his own version with crazy CCW changes in HB1473 and the scary Short Form Relating to Firearms HB1475.

Damn SB1466 ERPO. These are the no trial, found guilty, 1st class hanging types of laws that will be the ruin of the 2nd Amendment. All records sealed. No proof required, just "i was afeared fer my life yur honers..."  :grrr:

Added what should be the last batch of bills...
HB1543 Family/LE Protective order to prevent access to firearms.
HB1531 Bans assault rifles/shotguns/pistols
HB 1541 Establish AG gun violence prevention center

That's a lot of bills compared to last year.   25 Bills.  They are really pushing the AWB this year.  We haven't seen one for a long time.

Most of the committee assignments are updated.  Committee hearings have started on some bills and will ramp up.

I'm still waiting for the Hunters caucus to advise me on what hunting bills they support/oppose.

All the bills are out, though the short form and gut and replace are still in effect.

Various DLNR and AGR funding bills are up for hearings, not sure if it helps / hurts / or not related to hunters and eradication or sustainability.  Let me know if you know.

First time I'm posting anything, first time I wrote to my congressman... I wrote my congressman to try to prevent HB1303 from getting passed.  This is a portion of what I wrote, please use if you feel it might help.

A criminal or deranged person that is bent on mayhem  will use what ever means available to reach their objective as you see in the news all the time. A responsible citizen should not have their freedoms limited by fear of the potential.

Lots of hearings announced.  Remember testimony is due 24 hours prior to the hearing or else it'll be marked late (and possibly not included).  you can submit testimony on the easy form at www.hifico.org for some bills, or click the bill link (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-rRk6BhJpXk_BwlLctRk2LgZS4RInliAybFr1HYQUC0/edit?usp=sharing) to submit testimony on the official capitol page.  Either way.

Related to Firearms:
Hearings scheduled:  HB1541, SB556, SB600, SB621, SB1321, SB1466

Related to hun\ting:
Hearings scheduled HB590, HB591, HB1325, SB324
Hearings completed SB923, SB924, SB1150

Other bills:
Hearing completed:  HB342, HB1176

Gave you HIFICO guys a shout out on KHVH 830 this morning.  3 hour mark if you're interested.  Didn't have tons of time with Rick as he squeezed me in between guests.  Keep up the great work guys.

"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."

Gentlemen, at this point I think I've been through a couple cycles of email, calls to committee chairs, calls to my own rep and senator, weekend voice mailbox fill up attempts, and even snail mail letters to committee members.  Now that we're up to testimony I want to make sure I'm putting out my best work but my head is spinning from cranking out so much content.

1.  If I accidentally submit testimony twice through the HiFiCo website am I causing you guys problems?

2.  Is it possible to list by date when the bills open up for testimony?  This would help me to keep track of what I have and haven't submitted on.  I missed the hunting bills this morning (and felt rotten about it) and in this climate even though I have a small voice I want to make sure I add it to the chorus.

3.  Alternately if HiFiCo is sending out emails as the Bills open that would be helpful.  (I haven't gotten any email from you chaps since 1/24 and I fear I've fallen off the list.)  That way I could keep them marked as unread until I submit the testimony for them.  I know you guys are on Facebook but I've been off that platform for years now as I don't need my employers seeing my personal antics.

My spread sheet skills are pretty much zero or I'd tackle it myself.  I know you guys are doing a ton of work already and I'm not trying to be critical.  If you've got a system in place that I've missed let me know,  I just want to make sure I'm having as much impact as possible.

Narrowed the time line down : should start a few seconds before the gun stuff.  Mahalo for the shutout. The more people we get access to the submissions pages the better it is for all of us.
