Reloading / Re: Place to buy a Dillion RL550
« on: August 07, 2011, 10:19:35 AM »
Yeah sometimes cheaper to buy online.  I've been getting powder and primer from WGS so i don't have to deal with the hazard fee and to give Joe some business. Like I said, they've been super helpful and extremely patient with me and my sometimes dumb questions.

I usually order brass and bullets online. So far, I've been ordering from from tjconevera.com (thanks for the referral 808shooter).  Their prices are very reasonable and shipping is fast (2-3) days.

Before I started reloading, I saw Young Guns had a 10% off sale on powder and primer. I'll probably wait for that unless I need powder right away.

OGC hasn't had a special on powder and primer in awhile so they're not as predictable.

WGS has one on display and has them in stock (last time I checked).  If you ask them to, they will show you how to set it up.  He'll even let you demo the display.

PM me with how much you have and the price please.

Thanks.

I guess what I was saying is how much do you need? I do not have any .308 right now.

Ohhhh.... LOL.  I'll take what I can get. Right now, I only have about 60 and that's only from the 3 boxes of ammo I bought from young guns.

I'll probably order some online then.

Thanks though.

I ordered mine last week.  There's a guy (Spencer) in Kaneohe selling the stainless steel media for 35.00.  Really cool guy.

I have the Lee Turret Press.  I love it.  I actually wanted the Dillon progressive but the setup would have been too big to hide from the wife...  :D.  I just

Vood... you wouldn't happen to have any .308 brass?

On another note, I just ordered the stainless steel Thumler to shine the brass.  Cabela.com has $5.00 shipping for anything.  I think it ends today though, but I've heard they have it often.

Maybe Costco and Sam's Club?  I can't remember if the boxes are big enough though.

Legal and Activism / Re: controversial traffic stop in Ohio

I'm just curious... if he was HPD and assuming the driver filed a complaint or whatever, is there a way to find out if there was an investigation?  If so, would the driver be notified of the outcome/punishment?

What if we, the public, wanted to know if the officer got punished?  Would that be public information?

Has anyone ordered anything from botachtactical.com?  I really want the Aimpoint 3x.

Did a quick search... they have some really shady practices.  They're all over the internet.  A quick search came up with the following:

BBB in LA... http://www.la.bbb.org/business-reviews/General-Merchandise-Retail-By-Internet/Botach-Tactical-Law-Enforcement-and-Military-in-Los-Angeles-CA-13117095
Pissed Consumer.com... http://botach-tactical.pissedconsumer.com/
one from Yelp (couple of good reviews, the rest are bad)... http://www.yelp.com/biz/botach-tactical-los-angeles

No real issue with the T1 itself.  It's just me, and it doesn't help that I don't have a good spotting scope.  I think that's the most irritating thing... trying to see the hole or the groups with a crappy spotting scope.

I've only taken it out a few times.  My groups are a lot better with the iron sights.  That'll probably change once the T1 is sighted.

I have the T1.  I like it a lot, but I'd love it more if I could just get the thing sighted in.   >:(

Wait, just to clarify.  Aren't they saying that "...the solid copper bullets he (Elite Ammunition) makes is classsified as pistol ammunition.  The regular lead core bullets you and I shoot are not part of this determination."?

So much has happened/happening this year around the globe and now that they've raided the Hurricane Relief Fund (not trying to start anything), I'm wondering if Hawaii is gonna get hit bad this year.  Thanks for the info Jaydawg.  I'd better get started on my disaster kit.
