Political Discussion / climate clowns on The View
« on: April 09, 2024, 07:25:00 AM »
https://www.foxnews.com/media/the-views-sunny-hostin-blames-eclipse-earthquake-cicadas-climate-change

"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin blamed Monday’s solar eclipse, Friday’s earthquake and the expected cicada breeding season on "climate change."

"All those things together would maybe lead one to believe that either climate change exists or something is really going on," she said Monday.

A 4.8-magnitude earthquake was felt across New York and New Jersey on Friday; on Monday, the highly anticipated solar eclipse swept across the continental U.S.

Hostin also claimed that her studio makeup artist "put on her coat" and "ran down the hallway" during the earthquake, saying, "Jesus is coming" and "The rapture is here."

Commissioner Lisa Martin may have used her position to intimidate bar employees.

According to the police report obtained by Hawaii News Now, Martin used a liquor commissioner badge to get her and a friend into the club, where they were confronted by employees who said she was already intoxicated.

According to the report, employees told police Martin said “she will close the bar down because she can do anything she want with the badge. She threatened to close down the bay and I would lose my job.”

What next non binary guns?

Rep. Jill Tokuda (D-Hawaii) said ‘zombie guns’ are a serious issue across the country. But what is a zombie gun?

“They’re about guns that really should be dead, but sadly are coming back to life and they’re endangering our people,” said Tokuda.

General Discussion / For all you tactical madafakaz

https://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2024/04/nih-warns-of-condition-affecting-tactical-shooters-prsd/

With the growing popularity of tactical shooting competitions, unfortunately more and more young males are now suffering from psychological issues, some of which are quite serious. For this reason, the National Institute of Healthe (NIH) recently published an advisory stating that health professionals should watch for worrisome issues that commonly arise with participants in PRS and NRL competitions:

“Notice: Individuals who compete in PRS/NRL activities may exhibit multiple mental and emotional issues. This is related primarily to competition stress and financial anxiety over excessive costs of PRS/NRL participation. We recommend immediate intervention, particularly if the individual is married.”

These PRS/NRL shooters may exhibit “anger, anxiety, and inability to control emotions” warned the NIH. This typically happens after a poor shooting performance or when the individual contemplates the vast sums of money he has spent on PRS/NRL guns, gear, optics and ammo. The anger and anxiety can be most extreme when a competitor is soundly defeated at the range by other shooters with very inexpensive rifles. This can create anger and even lead to violence or worse, suicidal thoughts.

Compulsive Spending Behavior Among PRS/NRL Participants
In addition, the NIH warned that the initial “rush” and thrill of PRS/NRL competition has lead to compulsive spending behavior, similar to a “gambling addiction”. The individual spends more and more money on gear and equipment when there is no good reason to do so and no performance gain. Analysts explain that the very act of shopping and spending provides an addictive brain reaction which can cause PRS/NRL participants to spend more and more money even after they stop shooting matches. The spending becomes compulsive.
Post Range Shooting Disorder — PRSD

Analyzing the behavior and emotions of precision shooters, psychotherapists have adopted a new terminology for the mix of troublesome issues that PRS/NRL competitors exhibit in great numbers. The disturbed condition has been deemed “PRSD” which stands for Post Range Shooting Disorder (PRSD).

:love:cuz some madafakaz are too loud!

https://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2024/04/california-approves-new-noise-pollution-tax-on-firearms/
Sonic Tax Certification and Approval Cards
Under SB 1253, all gun owners must have their firearms tested annually for sound levels at an approved gun range. After sonic verification, with payment of the decibel-based sonic tax, the gun owner will then be issued a Sound Verification Card (aka “Sonic Permit”). This card must then be presented when the individual shoots at any indoor or outdoor gun range.

of course there's no remedy to make your guns shoot quieter because suppressors are illegal.

General Discussion / awesome shooting weekend
« on: March 25, 2024, 07:13:56 AM »
Great weekend shooting at Schofield and Puuloa. Pretty good weather. Socializing with like minded shooting pro 2a folks. New members who took the time to travel out to the ranges to practice. Saw some pretty cool guns, one with a solid carbon fiber MLok handguard. I dont think it got hot at all!  O0 .A couple ARs with an exposed gas block and an old school A2 handguard. They did well in rapid and slow fire stages. I gave the new shooters some 80s at 600 and he placed them all on target. No one got burned by their handguards either. I think they used CLE and RRA tubes.
Thanks to all the RSOs and support staff that made the extra effort and travel to ensure the ranges were setup and ready for the shooters. Your efforts and dedication to the sport are appreciated.
Great times
