Oh.

Isn't the Big Island in the "Mid-Pacific??

Without a public range, where would BI clubs shoot?

My ATV is down right now, so I gotta WALK the 200 ft to my 25 yd handgun range.  My property is 266x490 ft, but properties across the road are 1071x125 ft.  My friend has 3 of them in a row, with his house in the middle.  He could make a 200 yd range and still not be close to the edges of his property.  People shoot all the time around here.  Also did anyone watch KITV news last evening?  It was about BI cops afraid to go certain areas alone, that is why I never see a cop by themselves in my area, always 2 or 3 cars.  Way too easy to snipe someone with heavy tree growth on both sides of narrow gravel roads and almost no traffic, there maybe 10 to 20 cars per day that passes by my house.

I think it's more a question of do you have any neighbors within a mile radius that is possibly concerned about the sound of gun fire. Gee, would be nice if we could use a suppressor (even if home made).

One possibility is to have military servicemembers and veterans form a shooting club at Pohakuloa to use the military ranges and invite the public to shoot.
Join the Hawaii Firearms Coalition at www.hifico.org.  Hawaii's new non-profit gun rights organization focused on lobbying and grassroots activism.
