Do CCW license holders need to wait 14days to acquire a pistol?

I know this was talked about a while ago, but I cannot find the thread with the answer. If you already have a valid LTC in Hawaii, (any island) do you still need to wait 14 days for your background check to clear to purchase a new pistol? Or if you’re already a CCW holder, are you allowed to bypass that 14 day waiting Period?  I will call Big Island PD tomorrow to ask them, but figured I ask you guys first since they are currently closed.

For Oahu we gotta wait every time even with CCW.  Such a pain in the ass, 20 pages of paperwork, same questions everytime, long slow lines.  I put an hour on my meter in the HPD garage once and maybe took 5 minutes longer because the line is so slow and those buggas had a ticket on my winshield already.

It may not be much consolation, but every new permit gives Blangiardi acid reflex after lunch, and every new CCW permit they are forced to approve gives him another raging hemorrhoid - so geev em!
