Must've been the wind, I'm once again hearing the sweet melodic tinkle of rifle fire!

I can hear the range from my house.

It's been awfully quiet since about 11 am.

Political Discussion / Raises for City bureaucrats
« on: April 12, 2020, 12:01:19 PM »
I'm sure most of us heard that the city council was set to give everybody a 3% raise.

At least until the public found out.

While Caldwell said he didn't think it should happen, the city council seems to have other ideas.

They're having a meeting on Thursday the 16th to "Discuss" the idea. Sounds like an end around to me.

If you think the Mayor, Chief Ballast and all the other department heads deserve a raise for their stellar performance in upholding our constitutionally protected rights, you needn't do a thing.

If, however, you wish to express your disgust and displeasure at this acrimonious display of self congratulatory largess at our expense, you can submit written testimony to: ryoung@honolulu.gov

Thanks to Natalie Iwasa for the heads up.

Once they activate the NG, the law is what they say it is.

I give it another week at their current pace. No way HPD can handle it on their own.

They're boiling frogs.

Stay frosty.

The state is the least of our worries.

Google: ESF-13.

Read it and weep.

Just buying more ammo and waiting for ESF-13 to be implemented.

Biden.

Good chance Killary will be named as his VP choice. { He's declared for a female VP }

He will then die from "Carona Virus", or some other easily explainable malady. { Should they manage to manipulate the election in their favor }

Leaving Killary in the position she's always coveted.

That's NOT what she said....

Remember, mirrors can distort reality.

Just here for the legislative updates, looks like there's a bumper crop this year.

I'm thinking it's due to the fact that we haven't gotten the bad actors out of office.

Ballard said shooter didn’t have permits for any weapons

It doesn't matter.
We're all going to pay the price for the government's incompetence in dealing with mental illness.

Political Discussion / Re: Gallup Poll: Conservatives vs Liberals

Poll numbers are Bullshit.

I purposely lie whenever I take a poll just to throw their numbers off.

They think I'm a gay, Asian female, in the 18-25 age group and I make $200,000+ per year.

Just throwing this out there.

What if every owner, of a type that is planned to be banned,  shows up to Kokohead, and other shooting ranges on other islands, with their weapons, all on the same day and have a "I am NOT A FELON" range day?  Jam pack the place, share benches with everyone else, let each other try their stuff, just have a fun and awesome shooting event in protest.

How many thousands of people would that be?  What if the news covered it?  What if there where some eloquent speakers there to give statements and inform the general public?

Think more people would show up for that instead of trying to get people to the capitol on a very short notice?

YOU KNOW THEY WILL KEEP THE PUBLIC HEARINGS SECRET TILL THE LAST MINUTE AGAIN!   They don't give one shit about what we have to say at the hearings anyway.  (80-90% oppose to bills yet they pass?  :wtf:

Do this at the state capitol, then they'll pay attention.

It's time for some civil disobedience.

I think a lot of people are not complying already and haven't been for years.

Bullsh*t.

97% of people babbling on this forum don't have the balls to stand up to their little sister.

Actually, I think that percentage is probably even higher, since 99%+ can't manage to drag themselves to the state legislature to speak out for their 2A rights.

Kudos to those that are attempting organize some kind of political resistance, but we're too far behind the curve to make a difference at this point.

The last couple of years proved that.

They aren't listening, and they don't care. We don't have the 10 or 20 years to wait anymore.

I'll be at the hearings to speak out against these bills.

After that, I'm done talking.

Let those cowards come for me.

The United States government hasn't had a "Budget" since Obama took office.

They merely raised our credit card limit to allow more spending.

Lihikai is correct.

Until we can organize on the same level as the Anti's we're Fooked.

If we can't use our numbers as a voting bloc and unseat at least one Anti politician, when most elections are decided by double or triple digits or they run unopposed, the situation is hopeless.

Ren is also correct. We're all sitting here watching our  right to bear arms disintegrate before our eyes.

And we do nothing.

The next time you're at the range, stop and take a look at the people around you. Ask yourself how many of them, when faced with armed agents of the government on their doorstep, will simply hand over their firearms without a fight. On an optimistic day I would say 95%.

The same holds true for members here. I know I'm going to take a lot of flak for saying so, but it's the truth, and we all know it.

If we don't stand up as a group and resist this now, using our minds and votes, it's going to come down to an all too real kinetic exchange for those that are willing to fight.

It will not end well, for us or the country.

Let's leave the pandering to the Democrats.  inclusiveness should be based on treating everyone the same and enjoying the diversity, not trying to lure them in because they happen to be Muslim, or whatever else.

This.

This is what America is about.

According to Snopes.com, this is a false story started in 2013.

OMG!

We all know how "Accurate" Snopes is with stuff like this, they would never lie to us!

I'm turning in all my guns tomorrow!

I'm sure the 2nd Revolution will begin very similarly.

I think there will numerous incidents of what they will term "Lone Fanatics" that will stand their ground, and give their lives, before any organized resistance truly begins.

The left seems Hell bent on bringing this to fruition.

They've forgotten.
