I would come out and speak to those boys nicely and persuade them to leave.

Today is National 2A Day

======
2A Day, marked on April 17, is the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and is observed, celebrated, and remembered.
This national holiday honors the founding fathers’ foresight in enshrining the rights of the American people as represented in the Second Amendment.

Sad pictures.
Reminds me of Chinatown, Kalihi, Kaimuki, Moiliili and Waipahu too.
Basically, the homeless will camp out anywhere there are convenient places to buy supplies.

My big brother lived in SFO.
He moved away to NV.

Rest assured, your tax dollars aren't being used.
You can thank Everytown and Giffords for that.

Interesting.  I know Librarians are smart and all that but never thought they would have a National Day commemorating their "job"?  Good for them.

And I should check out those WW2 Filipino Veterans statues.  Might as well go get some deep fried manapua while I'm at it.

I dunno.  Maybe a hundred or so.
....
Warning...
That is a depressed area of town. Expect to see crackheads and homeless. I go there often because I like the various manapuas and the pork hash. I also want to support that business. The owner works hard, supports the 2A, and helps the homeless too. So I see it as a win win situation. I get great food, keeps the business going and helps the less fortunate.

National Librarian Day

I don't have any witty stories, but if you go to the Waipahu Library there are beautiful statues in tribute to Filipino WW2 veterans there.
It's pretty cool. Photo from the Star Advertiser when the monument was dedicated in 2023.
It's right down the street from the Filipino Community Center and Honolulu Kitchen with the deep fried manapua. :D

Off Topic / Re: Bad Drivers Dashcam Video-Post It Here

This is the El cheapo Walmart dashcam. It was $30.
It's a pretty basic cam. Similar to what I had for many years.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/onn-1080p-HD-Black-Car-Dash-Cam-2-4-LCD-Screen-110-Degree-Vision-Angle-Play-Video-Recordings-0-5-lb/1819691798

I paid $25 plus a few dollars for an extended Warranty. It uses a micro SD memory card and generates avi files. It is a pain to remove the Itty bitty memory card. Then I used a video editor to cut and zoom into the interesting parts.

It comes with an 8gb card which holds about 45 minutes, then it starts to over-write the old video. I use a 16gb card but would prefer a 32gb.

It's National ex-spouse day
We still get along and successfully raised a good family.

It's also National Pecan Day
I been grabbing those $1 mini pecan pies at walmart.
They are pretty darn good and it's small so it's perfect for when you have a little sweet craving.

National Scrabble Day

When I was a little kid, my auntie would play scrabble with me.
In 8th grade I won the class spelling bee.
I used to play with my daughter. We stopped when she won after years of playing.
