Political Discussion / Re: Biden Tax Hike
« on: May 17, 2024, 01:44:27 PM »
Chinese EV's will be taxed 100% as well.  They have lots of better EV choices over there. I mean, I'm sure they stole Tesla's tech due to Tesla's being made there.  Then created their "own".

But isn't the point of an EV to protect the environment?  So if a company makes a better product, whey not bring it over? Guess it's more about $.

Interesting that Tesla GIgaBerlin was attacked.  They claim that Elon is evil and not really "green".  I mean, the guy doesn't use leather for seats because killing cows for it isn't good. But in their eyes, cause he's makign big bucks, I guess to be green also means that one has to live a mediocre income.

Charla used to have super TDS, but in the past year or so, has really changed.

BUT..... governor green had time to sign this.

So funny when they reported that this was done to avoid yet another loss from 2a lawsuits.  Stupid lawmakers.  Just follow the Constitution and you shouldn't have problems.

Trying to Bullsh*t your way out of your banana republik shenanigans is why you have problems.

That is true, but the way HI lawmakers think is "Fuck u, sue us".  And the corrupt AG has their backs and lies during testimonies.

This law was passed way before HIFICO was around and no one sued them. But, has anything really changed? When was the last time the AG stated a anti 2a bill was unconstitutional?

Off Topic / Re: Swords: Buying and Training
« on: May 17, 2024, 07:39:51 AM »
The main thing to remember is that to be good at using a katana, it takes much more practice than a European type sword.  Katana's are made to slash and not hack. This means the swinging motion is to pull away as you make contact.  Compare this to a EU type sword where you just swing away (like an axe).

But I get why you would want a katana over a EU type sword.  Our family had one, but my grandma gave it away in the 70's due to it having bad karma cause it spilled blood generations ago. #facepalm.

Out of all the other cases, this one is the easiest to prove. Easy in comparison doesn't mean easy as a standalone case. The other cases are just that bad that this one is by far much stronger.

It could be further along if prosecutors had picked one simple charge instead of the 37 they hit him with. If all they were doing was proving they told Trump to give the documents back and he refused most of the hurdles they are trying to overcome would be removed.

Do you disagree with my position that this case is the strongest? Do you think one of the other cases are stronger?

You have no idea how they try to win.  The anti 2a lawyers do the same tactic. Guess what I'm referring to.

Refusing to turn over the classified documents when instructed to.

Establishing that Trump knowingly removed documents which were classified is a much harder burden to prove than refusing to return them when ordered.

Imagine a cop stopped you with a stolen backpack. In order to prosecute for the theft of the backpack he would have to prove you took the back pack or you received the back pack knowing it was stolen. However if the cop informed you that the backpack was stolen and he had to recover it but you refused he then has pretty much all he needs to make a theft case against you because the cop knows you have knowledge it is stolen and are still keeping it. I am sure being classified does make it a little more complicated but my example illustrates why using this one charge alone makes the prosecution so much simpler than proving he moved the boxes, made misleading statements, tried to delete security footage, etc.

Hahahhaha, I figured this would be the repy. Someone wasn't paying attention at all to what's what.

Wait till they grab the random bum outside the courthouse and the bum says he saw Trump collude with Russia to pay off Daniels and I saw the cash inhand exchange.

General Discussion / Re: hpd needs to see my med letter twice
« on: May 16, 2024, 02:43:27 PM »
Just left hpd. When I told them about the email, they didnt know why I needed to show my letter again. At least it only took 10 minutes to get my pistol PTA and get the rifle registered.
So it's all cleared up

That sounds about right. Left foot doesn't know what the right foot is doing.

No idea, but years ago when I was building my AR I bought just the stripped lower and registered it.  Registration says “caliber multi” or something like that.  So I guess if the firearm is registered as a specific caliber maybe you could be open to prosecution.  Like registering a g22 for ccw, then converting it to .50.  If you got caught with that I don’t doubt they would do all they can to prosecute you.

This is one problem with requiring guns to be registered.  Are any errors of it chargeable?  I've had inaccurate info on the reg and was told by the cop at the window, that it's OK, no worry. Not that big of a deal.  I had to stress that it is a big deal because they had the wrong model on the reg.  Another time, they had the wrong action type. Semi auto was listed, but it's a bolt action.  When I told them to change this, this cop did so and didn't say no worry.

There is really no way to know if caliber would trigger a charge from the state because it's never happened before.  Majority of the charges are for unregistered guns.  I would guess that the  serial number, make, model, and your info is correct is what the prosecutor looks for.

I think the timing is too obvious for democrats to claim they weren't coordinated at some level however I would suspect that there was competition amongst themselves as well so they can get recognition.

Having said that, I think the classified documents case is the easiest to prove. If they had picked one or two specific charges, instead of the dozens they threw at him, they could have made it much easier to get their case to trial quickly. If all they went with was the refusal to return the classified documents they would have had a very easy charge to prove

I think the classified document case does have actual merit to it though unlike the others which are really stretching to justify a charge.

What one or 2 specific charges?

I will offer some gel pepper spray to test. . . on you. . .  ;D

At least, this would be legal to test. Compared to Tasers.

When I went through gas mask training, we had to stand in a small house with our masks on while tear gas was released to test the seals on our masks.  Then one at a time, we went up to the instructor, removed our masks, counted to 10 out loud, and left.  I luckily didn't get hit by the gas when I took my mask off.  However, on the bus back to the squadron HQ, I was sitting behind someone who opened their window.  The draft blew the tear gas particles on his jacket into my face, so I got to experience the sensation AFTER my training was over.

There are also those who are immune from this gas as well.  There's a vid of a Marine who's in there with no mask, he's 1 of the instructors. While the others are wearing their mask, then doff it and then exit the room.

Do you even shoot?

Range too far. No can afford gas. Barrel too hot, no can afford glove.

People should read this org's FB page.  There are many errors on it.  I mean, the anti 2a's tactic is to lie, half truths/leave info out, etc...So not really surprised.
