Questions about amending soil
« on: February 22, 2017, 09:07:16 PM »
Any suggestions about a good material to amend Mililani red dirt with? Tore up a section of dead grass dug up the dirt, beat down the chunks and will be tilling it soon. Also, what's better, seeds or p,ups? Thinking centipede grass. Thanks for the help.

I LOVE my homemade compost.
Less trips to the dump and free compost/dirt 1
I also prefer centipede grass.

I would use plugs
I would also suggest compost.
If not you need to figure out what's missing if your trying to amend it.
If your just growing grass it should be alright with red dirt
