Recently purchased a DDM4V11 from my LGS. Upon taking it home and cleaning it I noticed that my Pmags had some friction when inserted into the magwell and would not drop free (Empty or loaded) in fact, I'd have to pull them out myself with some force. Tried some tapco mags and they still have friction when securing in the magwell but would drop free. After breaking down the rifle I noticed a rough edging around the inside of the magwell. All my mags fit into my other rifles and drop free no problem. I've read online that filing and wet sanding work then coat with a specific solution are options but my rifle is one of DD new signature colors. Any Ideas? I plan on going back to my LGS tomorrow with my rifle and compare it to their other DDM4V11 to see if the inside of the magwell is a rough as mine along with my mags in question. Anyone else have experience with this issue? or with DD customer service?
Here is a classic case where a good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy with a gun. I'm sure this will go one of two ways the anti-gunners will glorify the gunman or this will get small media time and eventually swept under the rug with all the other cases similar to this one.
If anyone in the forum is or knows people who are affected by the reduction thank you for your service and I sincerely hope that there will be a solution to this very bad decision made by our nations leaders. It still puzzles me why education and defense cuts are necessary when we have so much money wasted into foreign policy.
