party before the people of Hawaii

https://www.khon2.com/wake-up-2day/rep-jill-tokuda-heads-to-d-c-to-vote-no-on-latest-bill-to-reopen-the-government/

This is the typical and classic Communist.  What’s not typical and classic is the insane party platform of the new left which is illegals, weirdo cross dressing perverts, and racial criminal coddling.

These clowns created the problem of Obama care and purposefully made it unsustainable to use it as leverage against the people and to launder the kickbacks from the insurance companies.  Nothing about this government healthcare helps people.  It helps these politicians and insurance companies make billions of dollars.

Speaking of Trump and nukes ...

Trump says since it's been 30 days of government shutdown, it's now time for the GOP majority in the Senate to take the "Nuclear Option" and bypass the filibuster altogether.

I think this will be the path that garners the most favor with voters.  The GOP gets roasted for not using their majority powers when it would benefit them and their agenda, and then they get roasted for using their power instead of "compromising" with the Democrats.  Might as well use that club while they can.  Everyone knows the Democrats would.

I expect a report tomorrow that SNAP benefits, military paychecks, and all the rest of the doom and gloom tied to the shutdown will be funded tomorrow -- either because the GOP decide to use the power they were given, or because the Democrats realize they have no leverage to continue playing games for no real political gain.

We shall see ...

A majority of the GOP are deep state.  They are the same as the gotdam democrats.  My prediction is they will allow the democrats to “negotiate” a deal to fund snap, allowing them to take credit and boost their numbers for the midterm talking points.

They had them by the balls from January, yet we have seen no real movement on any thing significant on ANY real issues that they were elected to now hold the majority, including what DOGE reported on and 2a issues, which we have seen ZERO REAL movement on.   It’s really very sickening.   It’s clear both parties have no real interest in MAGA.  They want to continue the status quo.

I hope I’m wrong and wish to say so come Nov 1, but I’m not holding my breath…

Yeah, that always bothered me too.
Might as well have them work if their going to get paid anyway.

I do

The ones that don’t, and are at home furlough, really should be evaluated if they are truly needed.  What exactly is our tax dollars paying for if we don’t even see an impact when they are furloughed.

Odds the legislature modifies the law and moots the case? What strategy if they do this?

Gabbard has been a friend to the 2A. He voted no on all anti 2A bills this session and prior years too.

Gabbard has previously voted for mag bans.  This time he’s voting no on this bill.  He’s as usual, like his daughter, flip floppy.  This time he’s responding he opposes.  That might be because he knows it’s going to pass, but he wants to keep gun owners votes in his fairly conservative district.

On a side note. A pocket .380 can be as snappy as a 9, and MORE difficult to hit accurately, in my experience.

The seriously mentally ill cannot be forced to receive treatment, the self imposed drug and alcohol addicted refuse to be treated, the genuinely down on their luck slip though the cracks overwhelmed by the other two.

The state enables by funding it all, through the hard working taxpayers monies.

IMO, if the first two can be dealt with, with actual seriousness, the last would be an easy fix.

However, the homeless industrial complex has grown so lucrative, the politicians and those whose profitability are funded by the “unsolvable problem” will never allow real solutions.

This country is plagued by these “industrial complexes”.  Military, social, and pharmaceutical.
Once these complexes are dismantled, this is when MAGA can be restored.

P365X with Wilson combat grip module, and holosun eps carry dot.  10+1, lightweight, very easy to carry and shoot accurately.

Hawaii public school is a joke.  Every other week has days off.  This month alone has only 14 days of school.  FOR THE WHOLE MONTH.

I really don’t want to hear about teachers not getting enough pay.  Anyone else’s needs to GO TO WORK to get a paycheck. For the amount of actual time “teaching” I think their wage is not bad at all.

It’s a no wonder, why the young ones coming to work now days are so damn lazy, call in constantly, want to “telework”, and generally whine about being at a great job.  They’ve been trained to go do “work” for only half a month their entire childhood.

Just my observation.

I am really not happy with the school system here for my little one. Things need to be fixed, and fast.

90% of Hawaii people I know are ready to ditch left progressives. Yet we see the same being elected.  Either our election system in Hawaii is completely corrupt or the people are too lazy and complacent to get out and vote.

What every gun owner in the USA needs to do is get Trump back in office.  The Kamala administration will certainly continue to stack courts against not only the 2A, but the constitution in general.

This time I hope Trump will surround himself with better advisors.  I firmly believe bad advice from the NRA was the probable cause for the bump stock fiasco, which we see now spiraling out of control.

Thankfully the judges that HE appointed is keeping the anti gun bureaucracy under control, for now.

We sure cannot take another 4 to 8 years of left control.  Kiss your rights bye bye.

News reported a simmering feud between neighbors.

I guess the pot boiled over.

Would increased police presence have prevented this from happening?

There's no love anymore.  No respect.  No compassion.

The ainokea spirit is strong in Hawaii.  Just like the Aloha Spirit in our government and State Supreme bullsh*t, ahem I mean Court.

Increased police presence isn’t going to do anything if the police are powerless to react.  If they can’t do anything, nothing is going to get better.

Crime runs rampant because there is zero consequences for criminals.

Officials say multiple suspects tried to flee when the suspect opened fire, striking the victims.
HPD said at some point, a 42-year-old male resident of the home fatally shot the suspect with a handgun.
The 42-year-old male resident who shot the suspect has been arrested for second-degree murder.

Man rams cars with front end loader.
Man opens fire on unarmed civilians.
Resident shoots suspect  stopping him from killing others.
Resident arrested for 2nd degree murder.

Am I missing something ?

Sounds like a complicated situation. Perhaps the man that ended to shooter was the initial aggressor?  Sounds like a neighbor dispute gone wildly wrong.

I’d bet they was having and bash out party, probably a regular occurrence, blocking some dudes driveway,  dude probably called the police 50x previous, yet nothing was done. Dude might have gone over and told them to move their vehicles, they attacked, dude had enough and went nuts.

I don’t know anything about this particular incident, but in my minds eye, that’s how I see it playing out.

Reloading / Re: Old Bullseye powder
« on: August 30, 2024, 06:09:01 PM »
Takes less pressure to push out the lighter bullet therefore less pressure builds up inside case before bullet exits cartridge/barrel.
Probably also had more "flame" coming out of barrel as powder was still burning after cartridge leaves case/barrel.

Does make sense.  Usually your step the powder up a little when using lighter bullet for more velocity.  One could stay within safer pressure with a lighter projectile and achieve higher velocity

BE is a really fast powder.  It would probably all be ignited, even in a 5.5bbl

Perhaps you’re getting a better seal with your hand cast and sized 200 grn SWC plus better lube.  Better seal = more velocity would be my guess

Chrono test using 4.0 gr of Bullseye in each load. Colt gvt 5.5 in barsto match bbl with fed brass and wwLpp. Velocity/SD
.....
The first bullet is my 200 gr.hand cast bullet using a mold made by Miha Previc in Slovenia. It is sized to 0.452 dia and lubricated with my own blend of Hawaiian beeswax and Alox2138F.
=746/6
The second bullet is a 185 gr soft swaged target hollow point .
=700/10
The third is a 230 gr polymer coated bullet from Blue
=709/9

Why is the lightest bullet the slowest bullet?
It doesn't make sense.
