Back to airguns, ammo price and availability are about to implode (Read 6274 times)

Not going to burn up ammo I cannot easily and affordably replace, may need it depending on what sort of crap they try to pull on us.

My airguns will keep me current with most firearm skills.

Wish I bought more ammo so I could sell some now, but who are we kidding? I would just sit on it like everyone else. Fingers crossed that Trump pulls off a SC victory and the manufacturers can finally get a breath and catch up.

I dry fire a lot and shoot about 100 rds per week air rifle.
Just to keep muscle memory up to snuff.
Due to the election My Xmas present is going to be a Dillon re loader
and I'm going to build an AR10.
You AR guys( and Hawaii Democrats) finally broke my resolve.

Same here.  I hardly ever shoot centerfire ammo now.  I use my Umarex Glock 19 BB gun to practice drawing and firing.  Only thing, is it is hard to find CO2 Powerlets.  I have 84 of them right now and thousands of BBs so good to go for a few months.

Good choices.

I hope reloading supplies will be easy to come by.

LR-308/AR10 is easy as I recall.   Barrel nut may require a different size wrench than 5.56.  Receiver holding fixture is different of course.

Went through a few handguards and buttstocks before settling on a setup.  Weighed a little over 8 lbs with iron sights and an ACE fixed stock..

Adjustable gas block made it a very soft shooter with 18.5" barrel.

Hope it won't get to the 2012-2013 levels where I had to cut back shooting drastically.  When there wasn't anything by say .40 S&W ammo to be had. . .

After sandy hook, I try to get 40sw pistols and than get the 9mm conversion barrel.

The range was empty yesterday.  I wonder if shortage of ammo helped to contribute to that

Reloading seems to be the way to go since it looks like Biden may pull it off and ammo may be scarce for a while

I have enough reloading components to last a while
I have enough ammo to last a while
I have multiple calibers so I can shoot something quite often
if I just want to shoot/plink, I have enough 22LR to last a while.  I have 22LR firearms in revolver, semiauto pistol, semiauto rifle, bolt action rifle so I can practice or plink
since the last shortage, I started hoarding stuff.  now i'm glad I did.  and i'm going to hoard more if I can afford it and find it.
its just how it is now. and it might last a while
just like keeping money in the bank for a rainy day, we should hoard ammo for ammo shortage too

I stocked up on some .45 ACP just before COVID hit, with the intent on shooting that more often.  May have to save that for barter/trade value. . .  :shake:

If anybody like buy, I am willing to sell 3000 rounds for only $2 a round.  I will even deliver at no extra charge.

I guess I have to start training with those.

My friends' kids have a bunch of airsoft.  Some of the full autos are damn fun!  And the bbs aren't that expensive.  It's the gas that gets pricey.

You can use Propane from those green canisters you can pick up from almost any store, just have to find the conversion nozzle so it'll fit correctly.

Like these? I have some of both. I think the Benzomatic cans are like $3-4. The “Green Gas” that I’ve bought for my friends’ kids are like $15-20.

Hmmm, with an igniter in the muzzle like the flamethrower had, could be interesting.
