Was there this morning. Only about 3 people in line when I got there at 10:45. Only took about 30 minutes to register, but when I left there were more like 7 or 8 in line I think. Still not too bad but busier than I've seen it the past 4-5 months.

Dang, I was there at the same time.

I got there at 10:30 and there was a small line then it got pretty busy. It took me 35 minutes to register my new baby and when I left there was at least 8 people waiting in line.

I gotta say I was pleasantly suprised to see a couple officers being proactive and grabbing people out of line that just needed to register or pick permits up. That definitely helped and sped up the process for quite a few people, myself included! Way to go guys!!  :thumbsup:

do the lines get longer later in the work week?  I feel like mondays and tuesdays would be less crowded than thursday friday

I'm not a regular at HPD but I like to go Tues, Wed, Thurs after 0830.  0830 is when on street meter parking is allowed on Beretania giving you more parking options.
However this time I gotta go on Friday and take my chance on the line.

Went yesterday just after 1:00pm and the line was to the door... Had the kid, so decided to try again another day and time.

Dam!  Just couple days ago it was empty. I would think Monday would be busy too because 2 weeks ago was the gun show so people that applied 2 weeks ago will be coming in from monday

Arrived at 8:10.  left about 8:55.  3 -4 people in line outside the registration room, and maybe 5 more inside doing paperwork.

Parked @ 10:00, got to the door and the lobby was full of people.  :(  Opened the door and walked  inside.  There was a couple of guys going through a whole colection of guns with about four HPD officers helping them.  They looked up at me when I walked in and pointed to the other door and said "the line starts there!"  Only one person ahead of me!  Whew!  Registered two pistols and was out in 30 minutes  :thumbsup:

Went last friday at about 1100am to apply for a pistol permit and finished up at about 1pm.
