The fee for fingerprinting first-time applicants for firearm permits on the Big Island will be reduced from $19.25 to $16.50.

That's odd. I thought the fingerprint fee was a fixed rate that was paid to the FBI.

I was irritated to find that you have to go through the whole thing again even if printed and photo's in Honolulu. 

You'd think Honolulu was a state registration, as y'all advised me that firearms do not have to be registered again after moving them between counties.  The ladies at the Kona PD are very nice though, and it is not crowded unlike Oahu.

Yes, but I heard they were raising the parking meter fee by $2.75.
