Competition / Recommended shooting glove for Precision air riflery
« on: July 26, 2018, 10:23:08 AM »
Hi all,

I'm looking for a quality shooting glove for my daughter. The last one she had didn't last long and I'd like to get another one. Any suggestions?

Your suggestion is always appreciated. Mahalo

As the subject states, your at KKH rifle range and someone on your left is shooting some sort of semi-auto rifle and shells are flying everywhere.

I'm trying to be open about this and I can't be the only one this has happened to, but I'm having a hard time and don't want to offend anybody.

Simply put, is it feasible to make it mandatory to require a shooting net or barrier of some sort -at least when shooting semi's where the shells come out with force and are hot.

Your thoughts?

Reloading / IMR 4451

Does anyone here have any experience using IMR4451 ENDURON? I thought I'd try it on my wife's Browning 243 BAR with either Sierra's 100 gr or Ballistic Tips @ 95 gr. either way I thought it would be a good discussion.

General Discussion / Midwest gun works
« on: October 13, 2014, 05:48:13 PM »
Hey all,

Anyone have any experience with Midwest Gun Works? Seems Browning Arms refers customers to Midwest for general work and repair.

If any, what were your impressions, good, bad, indifferent?

Thanks

General Discussion / Loose bolt lever American Ruger
« on: September 07, 2014, 07:53:13 AM »
Good Morning all,
I'm researching an issue with an American Ruger rifle in a 30-06 bolt action. The problem is the bolt and lever is very loose when a cartridge is chambered or not.  Unchambered, I can shake the rifle and the bolt will move up to block the trigger. What keeps tension of the bolt?

Thanks in advance.

Legal and Activism / Registering a firearm
« on: August 24, 2014, 08:33:01 AM »
This might be more of a rant but I hope to gain a different perspective from you all after posting this subject.

I want to register a long gun from a pvt. party who's father has deceased.  I've read the laws and the process.  My question is " wouldn't it be better if HPD would allow all firearm to be registered regardless of how it was acquired"? Who cares how one gets the firearm, if a responsible gun owner who has a authorization to acquire and register the gun wants to keep or get the firearm registered; who cares where the firearm came from. At least they now know where the firearm is. If somehow the deceased comes back to life and tells the beneficiary he wants it back? WTFC.

Thanks for reading and chime in if you'd like.  Maybe I need a better perspective on the process or is that my fault in the first place.
