Not an armed incident, but illustrates why someone, even in Hawaii, might wish to arm themselves.......

"Man assaults two after getting parking ticket"

9 January 2011 -Another instance that illustrates why you might want to be armed in Hawaii. Luckily the perp didn't have a weapon, but is it unreasonable to plan for just such an instance where he might be?

"Police arrest man who allegedly threatened to kill everyone on Kapolei bus"

26 Jan 2011 Auto theft suspect pulls gun on undercover officer and fires.

Good thing the thief didn't hit the cop, but he's still an armed car thief....thought we didn't have that type of violent criminal in Hawaii......

Police Open Attempted murder case after car hits building
No firearms were used in this incident, but it does show how CCW could really save lives.  A woman's EX stalks her, attacks her with brass knuckles, and then when she tries to flee, he jumps on the hood of her car.  So she drives him into a wall.  Pretty dramatic.

Oh and I really enjoyed this from the comments section:

Remember that DV a few years back where the guy practically killed his ex on the street by hitting her repeatedly with a shot gun. He even hit a by stander that tried to help.

Remember how people said they would've rammed their car into him.

Well the shoulda, woulda, coulda applies to this incident. I hope the girl doesn't get charged with anything. Her life was in danger, and she had to defend herself anyway possible. The bad thing about this story is, this guy will recover and more so try to get revenge on her.

Im confused by this one, maybe its because I just woke up and havent eaten.  One guy pulls out a bat hitting the other, the man hit by bat stabs the bat wielder, they both get arrested?

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

These people involved here have no business owning guns.
99% of the time when you read about people beating their significant others in the street and people jumping on hoods, this involves crystal meth.

Only "ice heads" do retarded stuff like this.

Man turns himself in after Kailua shooting incident

http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/121619954.html

Now, if I read the story correctly, this shooter was in the victims driveway when he shot over the victim's head. Now, I was also out of town for all of last week, but I don't recall seeing this story in the newspaper. Which seems odd since it was a gun related issue.....anybody see it reported last week?

Didn't see it in the news, but heard it on the radio.  So.....  u get charged with terroristic threatening only if you miss the guy or have double-vision that day?

It might not make the news but there was just a shooting outside of my house.

I stand corrected, it did make the news.
