General Discussion / Re: "I am going to the range today"
« on: Today at 03:22:34 AM »
Saw this on the news. . . week day hours, weekend hours remain unchanged.
.....
I went yesterday at 10am to see how the new operating hours work. No traffic problems going there. Had a pleasant time shooting with some folks I met in the past. I left the range at 130pm and ran into a surprising amount of traffic going back to the west side. Not too bad though.

They didn't use guns.
Therefore gun laws must be working....I feel safer already.🤣

This was 3 years ago,  but still amusing.
....

A 13-year-old Michigan boy named Owen Burns successfully stopped the attempted abduction of his 8-year-old sister in Alpena Township by shooting the 17-year-old suspect with a slingshot.

Off topic....that guy in the video uses a lot of facial expressions and gestures. I've never met anyone that talks like that. :stopjack:

Around 35 years ago, I noticed that my son was playing too much video games. One day it just pi...d me off. I took that Nintendo console outside and drove a pickaxe through it....problem solved.
Today, none of my kids are in jail or rehab.  ;)

I got these solar yard lights for emergency indoor lighting. Just leave them out during the day and they run for hours at night.
IIRC they were about $20 for 6.

Hearing that the hours are going to shift to 1000-1400
....
Hhmmm...that would be good for people on the west side.
I knew a guy who would go shooting then pack up and head home around 2pm to avoid traffic.

Well....y'all know by now that she resigned to take care of family problems. What amazes me is how TDS/leftists continue to bash her for her politics. Some people have no class.

Dog shoots woman with shotgun at Nebraska convenience store
===
Police responding to reports of a shotgun blast at a convenience store sounds like the opening of countless American crime movies, but when cops in Nebraska responded to a recent such call they found an unusual culprit: a dog.

Local TV station KNOP News 2 reported that police in the town of Scottsbluff were called out to a local store recently after reports of a blast involving a shotgun.
Upon arrival they found a truck with blast damage in one of its doors and a woman who had been struck in the arm by a pellet from a shotgun.

However, investigation showed a canine cause behind the shooting when it was revealed the blast happened as the vehicle had pulled up to the store as a dog had been moving from one side of its back seat to another.

I got stuck in that last week.
The good thing is that people burn more gas sitting in the congestion. Therefore they buy more gas, which increases revenue from gas taxes. That helps to pay for the road construction.
