Did you register it  ($5,  fee waived this year) with the FAA yet?

Fee is in effect, and you register yourself and not the drone.

Any flying object when flown outdoors , over 1/2 pound (0.55lb) must be registered with the FAA and the permit number affixed somewhere on the object.
they include anything such as RC planes/ helicopters , drones or toys.
each individual object must be registered.
5 planes must have 5 permits.

The phantom 4 pro weighs 3lbs and will require registration.
The feds are on to you breaking a federal law and will take all your guns.

wow. Nice. When quad rotor models first came out people referred to them as drones as they were not autonomous. Now with DJI's Lightbridge and associated apps, they are approaching drone definition.  As an avid RC heli and plane flyer, I echo what was disdain in the beginning. Heck, some "drone" operators refer to themselves as "pilots" . I think Suka would have a laugh out of that.
I can't see the whole video - what happened?

I fly a TBS Discovery on APM 2.6.

When you register (I did it last night) it tells you this is your registration number and is good on any number of drones. One number assigned to me for all drones I own.

There is some debate (I'm not sure if it's been clarified/resolved) on if they even have authority on UAS

The phantom 3 is only $400 now so I might pick one up to dick around with

As I recall there is no permits needed if only flying the drones indoors.

Perhaps you haven't heard of indoor drone racing?

A Phantom 4 is not a racer. Those racer are 250 sized and smaller. Some are smaller than what the FAA defined as a platform needing registration.
