If u got a cooler and frozen foods, bag them add rock salt on it, the salt will drop the temperature lower, also thinking of getting a food dehydrator, dry strips of meats and fish, even fruits can hold if done right

Went t o Longs yesterday and bought two cases of water.  That's part of my normal routine to buy and go through (drink at home and other on the go type stuff) water on a regular basis and rotate and maintain stock.  I noticed lots of people buying water and the water shelf was half stocked with the sale water mostly gone.

I went to walmart, alot of ppl getting water nd gears too, I got a few of the 3 gal water bottle  for $7 and water hand pump for $12, big family so I knew we have 1000 water bottles all over the house, but as well I got family coming over to stay with us, and bum off water and food each time something happens, its sad ppl careless about things like this, if shtf I would have to turn them away to  take care of my wife and own immediate family

:shake: its really the 2nd one we should watch out for, if the first one hit us hard  we should be ok, but with the 2nd one following it would only given us 48 hour at most time to react, idk if most of the older homes could with stand another hit with so little time to do repairs, rain would soften up the grounds, could have alot of flooding and landsides, run off into the sewage drains, and contaminating the water,

I think my area I am able to grow food, the stream is less then 50 yards from my back yard, I already have a few pants going, 8 papaya plants ( anyone some? ) etc plants ,chickens I have taps a few of them b4, getting a pig would be best, I do have a smoker, and could feed more ppl, I have seen pen like taps that could be made, that way better way of getting them rather, goin out nd getting hurt

Best way of gettin chickens is to fine them at nite in trees and if u got a clean shot use a bow nd arrow or a bb/ .22cal rifle or set line/ feet noose if u want then alive
