Reloading / Re: What are your fave powders for AR loads?
« on: October 09, 2023, 08:14:18 AM »
I found that Lee's Auto Drum powder measure on a Dillon 550 throws pretty accurate RE15 weights. I also polished the Dillon PM and it also throws short stick like RE15 pretty well

That’s a great “Pro-Tip”
Thanks for sharing

XBR8208 and RE15 have been a favorite for me because at the time i started reloading, XBR was new and nobody was buying it and RE15 was also available.
With these two powders I was able to develop loads for both 223 & 308W.

BTW - I’m looking for H4350. I’m starting 6.5CM so I have powders to trade in the classifieds. :shaka:

Beforehand I would answer these type questions with, “What ever is on the shelf”

But now that powders are now being somewhat available, I would answer with, “ Depends how I’m going to drop my powder”

If on a progressive press, ball type powder is best.
H335 or CFE223

If I’m using a powder drop,
XBR 8208 or H322

If using a ChargeMaster dispenser,
Varget or RE15

Hunting / Sierra TGK for hunting
« on: May 06, 2022, 02:13:48 PM »
Anyone have any experience with the Sierra TGK (Tipped Game King) for hunting?
Could be manufactured cartridge or used on you personal hand load?
Any caliber used for whichever game your hunting.

I personally will be using a 165gr .308 diameter projectile on my favorite 168gr development.

Just want feel out other hunters experiences if they like it before I pull the trigger and buy a bulk amount.

Mahalo.

As an option, long-gun applicants may have their processed permits mailed to them. Applicants need to provide a self-addressed pre-paid envelope, certified restricted-delivery return receipt required(available at the U.S. Post Office) at time of application for permit. Long-gun (rifles/shotguns) permits are valid for one (1) year from the date of issue. Be advised that a handgun (pistols/revolvers) permit is valid for only ten (10) days from the date of issue.

Quoted, verbatim, on HPD's website

I though I saw a post that someone did this.
Anyone successfully went this route?

Will you be bringing your products to the gun show? Looking to buy

Yes sir, we will be there at the same spot

Can we buy from u direct?

Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
At the moment, No.
It would be more cost effective, to  have the local stores provide them as part of their regular sales.
The other option is a group buy of at least 10 or more units. However, having the stores stock them make it consistently available on a monthly basis.

Bought a Solo a few months ago and really like it. Recommend you pick one up for yourself.
Thank you sir, We appreciate your business

After much field testing, market research and customer feedback, we are pleased to announce the Fabtek Engineering “SOLO” will be part of our regular production line.

What does that mean? Along with the Steel Target Frame Set, the “SOLO” will also be for sale at participating stores.

As of now, this release invitation has been sent to current and new stores for consideration.
If your favorite shop/store does not carry our target systems and you would like them to, ask them to inquire for options.

Estimated price?

Need to make sure I have the cash ready.

No set price point at this time. I can say that it will be almost $100 less than what "Big Brother" retails at the stores.
This was meant to be an entry level set, that's very reasonably priced and compatible with all Fabtek Engineering target systems.

It will come as you see in the middle photo. (1) 5" Diameter 1/2" Thick AR500 gong and NO wood frame.

Please also note, this is not a regular production model we manufacture and retail.
This a limited release, that's only available at the Octobers' Gun show. We are doing this to help support the Hawaii Historic Arms Association generate more exposure and presence at the show.

I may start a "Pre-Order" list for just 2A Hawaii Members, I'll keep you guys posted.
Please don't post here if you want on the pre order list.  I'll start a new thread on the classified section when the time comes.

Tom,

Check out some local camera or dive shop. This is also widely used for camera equipment.

I remember a camera shop in kaimuki that sold pelican cases.
