What about justice for the store that they robbed? They are no longer good people the moment they decide to rob others. The growing problem in our society is that we don't recognize or take responsibility for right and wrong. The mom said he should've called police. I can only imagine what's next...criminal rights laws...Yep you heard me. All these people who lost a criminal family member will rally Congress or their local legislature for laws protecting those while committing a crime. These criminals have family too. This guy was a family man who loved his daughter and was not "hardcore".

Many of the stories Ive read were biased and forgot to mention they were armed, and pulled a gun on the guy when he told them to leave.

"And while his mom admits her son was a drug user, she believes her son would only attempt this robbery to pay his young daughters child support."

What's not right is a drug user robbing a store. Really, WTF is wrong with our people?! Is it the media? Or do these people (criminals' family) think it is right to rob to pay for child support?

We get that all the time here too. I saw it so often I actually sat down with my friend and made up a list of sob story excuses.
I don't know where the list is but I'll bet we can recreate it here. I'll start:

1- He was a good kid.
2- He would never hurt anybody.
3-He loved his family.
4-He loved his kids.
5-He was good to his Mom.
6-He did not mean to hurt anybody.
7-It was the drugs.
8-He ran around with the wrong crowd.
9-They could have used mace.
10-They could have tasered him.
11-They could have shot him in the leg.
12-They could have called the police.
13-He was always happy, or smiling, or joking around.

Add your excuse here...

Didn't really want to create another thread, but here's another one.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2489533/Father-heartache-police-shoot-dead-son.html

"The Comstock family said that the 19-year-old had recently split up with his girlfriend and was trying to get his life together after spending a few days in jail for disorderly conduct."

Right.....that's why he rammed a police car and revved his engine basically threatening to ram them again despite the police having guns drawn.

"The family says the teenager was not armed. They also say he was trying to get his life back on track."

Sounds to me like he was armed with a 3000 lb weapon.

The guns were also stolen, if you read some of the other articles, the driver supplied them. I think the family is trying to get the same attention as the hoodlum that got exterminated in Florida.

These punks got what they deserved.

The family's attitude toward the matter shows that they have no regard for anyone but themselves.

They raised their child to not care about others people's lives or safety.

He is a product of their upbringing.

They should blame themselves for failing their child.
