Pistols magazines are only 10 rounds here
Shooting qualifications should be 20 rounds max

There's an American teacher that's in prison in Russia as well,  who isn't getting any media coverage.

Probably offers more to the country in a trade than a pro athlete

it gets worse
https://www.foxnews.com/us/gun-control-advocates-stunned-man-allegedly-shot-indiana-mall-shooter-labeled-good-samaritan

Critics are lashing out after a man carrying a pistol stopped a mass shooting at an Indiana shopping mall, arguing the man should not be called a "Good Samaritan."

"The term, ‘Good Samaritan’ came from a Bible passage of a man from Samaria who stopped on the side of the road to help a man who was injured and ignored," wrote CBS4 traffic anchor Justin Kollar on Twitter Monday. "I cannot believe we live in a world where the term can equally apply to someone killing someone… my God."

But some critics joined Kollar in criticizing the man's actions despite him allegedly putting a stop to the mass shooting.

"The Good Samaritan paid for an unknown immigrant's health care out of pocket," comedian John Fugelsang wrote on Twitter. "The Good Samaritan did not shoot anyone. Jesus was not a fan of killing for any reason, including self-defense. But if these ammosexuals had ever read the Bible, they couldn't support the GOP or NRA."

"I don’t know who needs to hear this but when a 22-year-old illegally brings a loaded gun into a mall and kills a mass shooter armed with an AR-15 after he already killed three people and wounded others is not a ringing endorsement of our implementation of the Second Amendment," Moms Demand Action Founder Shannon Watts said on Twitter.

Suddenly they know scriptures & are trying to quote the Bible, although they removed God from everything

Ok, fair enough. But if that is the case, how can you accuse those on the left, the anti-trumpers of being influenced by their bias and emotion? Certainly they think they are seeing the "truth" as much as you are convinced you are seeing the truth.

Nearly every argument we make about them, I see them make back at us just in a different wrapping. What if, sometimes, we have it wrong? I think it only reasonable and fair for us to ask this of ourselves since we want them to do the same.

It's not about being emotional or not.

It's about how much emotion,  logic,  common sense,  experience,  life,  etc you add in or don't,  to the decision/ conversation/ choice, whatever.

Clearly you'll feel some kind of way,  but after you take some time,  get level headed,  think things through,  etc. You can make a decision with logic,  reason,  everything else.

That's why there are such epic melt downs when emotion meets logic

I must be missing something, did the chief say something about needing to own a firearm before applying for the CCW permit?

HPD is asking for a hard copy of the registration

They still have "Be qualified to use the firearm in a safe manner". A reasonable chief would say if you own a gun and have no record of accidents, then we all G. But I think HI is gonna use this to deny people for now. Just my $0.02 because we don't have a reasonable chief, AG, or politicians.

Following the current process when applying for a handgun,  you can show your hunters education certificate or firearms certificate.

That should be more then enough "to be qualified" for a ccp

A photo of a bunch of policemen sitting with the new chief standing in front of them with a sarcastic comment about the officer's tasers being out and how they must not have holsters.

I asked a cop friend of mine and he told me that every day before they go out on patrol they have to take the cartridge out of their taser and do a test fire. They all do it at the same time so they all have their tasers out on the desk ready to go.

What does test firing before patrol have to do with the chief standing in front of them?

Does the chief personally inspect each shift before they go out on patrol?

What logic brings her credibility into question? If you think it does then you say why, I can't read your mind.

Her very specific terminology (clavicle, magnetometer) is a little unusual but this does not prove anything.
She mistakenly called the SUV the beast (the limo is the beast) but this doesn't prove anything conclusive either
She is a hearsay witness but this is a mark against the committee for not bringing in the fact witnesses, not a mark against her.

None of what she said was impossible or implausible.
-Angry Trump throws a dish? Very plausible
-Angry Trump tries to steer vehicle to get what he wants and grabs secret service officer? Nothing implausible there.

I think people are looking for reasons to disbelieve her.

I mean if you believe what she believes she heard & wrote, instead of the secret service which were actually in the vehicle,  & stated it didn't happen & no one asked them for verification or testimony, then that's your choice.

You think that because they both kill a bunch of random people that therefore terrorists and school shooters are the same with the same solutions and same reasons they occur?

Solutions are the same.
Good guy with a firearm neutralizes the threat.

The faster a good guy with a firearm is on scene the sooner the threat gets neutralized

I was thinking,  what's the difference between someone outside the school with a firearm & someone inside the school with a firearm.

I mean they were willing to rush the gun men inside but begged the gun men outside.

One was directly killing the kids while the other was (in) directly getting the kids killed.

Not sure if there were more parents then LEO there
Not sure who/if there were civilian firearms on scene in person or in vehicles.

Plus armed teachers would rarely prevent a shooting, just end it sooner.

If that's the perspective your holding,  then it's clear why you can't find the answers your looking for.

Short of the minority report(thought crimes), you can't prevent people from doing bad things, no matter how hard you try.

Like you said,  all you can do is end it sooner.
The sooner a law abiding citizen arrives with a firearm,  the sooner it will be ended.

Still trying to dance around it I see

Like I said, I’m more worried about people like you. Who cares about some fringe leftist who wants to yank our second amendment when we have people like you who will just give it to them?

Nice strawman I never said they wanted to take all our rights I said they want all our guns. If you actually read what I wrote I said that the logic they’re using for gun control can be applied to all guns over time. Look at your president now talking about how 9mm will blow the lung out of the body. So rifles that shoot 5.56 and handguns that shoot 9mm are too dangerous to own now, and you wanna compromise with these people? Good grief.

These are mentally deranged individuals not special forces operators. You call the shooter “rational” yet think they would gung ho into an area where he could immediately be met with lethal resistance. There’s nothing rational about that. There’s a reason the overwhelming majority of mass shooting occur in gun free zones.

The entire constitution is absolute I don’t know where people get this idea that it isn’t. Since you wanna play this silly game, how absolute is the 19th and 13th ammendment?

It's like that girlfriend that tells you, "if you love me then you'll...."
And when you don't do it,  they give you the,  "you must not love me then" bullcrap.

Best to be firm & non negotiable,  because they know no bounds

What about all the other soft targets? Should every business have a full time armed guard? Every playground? Every library, etc.? If a shooter really gets scared away from schools because they now have armed guard then they will just pick another target. Therefore for this proposal to truly be effective we are talking about armed guards everywhere

That's called constitutional carry

Interesting to see so many "experts" now having to retract their statements after more information on timeline release from THOSE WHO WERE THERE. . . Including a couple of local "subject matter experts" who teach such tactics, but A) never had to execute and B) were not there.  I have no such specialized training, nor was I there.  However, I do not rush to convey my "knowledge" right after an event, when details are still emerging, talking down on others who shared their opinions. . .

Sorry if it was me,  haven't been keeping up to much

1 Border agent who entered just sat down for a haircut and got a text from his wife who's a teacher there and whos daughter attends the school. He grabbed his barbers shotgun and rushed over. He was able to get his daughter out and others.

Sounds like more of the have/ have not.

Off duty CPB officer able to rush to the scene,  take command, create a plan with LEO on scene & sweep the building for his daughter& wife.

Parents willing to enter & look for their kids detained by officers standing around for an hour.

I forgot,  they are highly trained & the only ones that should be allowed firearms.

I wonder how many other students were officers kids or stayed home on the last day of school.

Supposedly police were claiming it wasn't an active shooter situation anymore,  but rather a barricade/ hostage situation instead, so breaching could have caused more casualties as opposed to negotiators.

Interesting that US marshes were on scene so quickly.
Do they over ride jurisdiction of local/ County police departments?
