My Personal Opinion.
I owned several AR Aluminum lowers over the years.
A little over 2 years ago I purchased a Plum Crazy Firearms Polymer Lower. All my friends told me I was crazy.
Coming from a background in modifying cars my whole life I was used to trying new things.
After being told a thousand times by other friends that it would be better suited for a 22LR conversion,
I decided to drop on a CMMG 22LR Upper. It worked great. I was impressed with the 4.5 lbs trigger.
It is a very accurate 22LR AR. Also noted that the upper and lower have no play whatsoever when rocked back and forth.
I have a Bushmaster AR15 20" Chrome Lined Varmint Rifle, Full Float, Konus 6-24x-44mm Scope.
Custom Compensator. The lower is a Bushmaster with a Giessle National Match Trigger. Sniper Grip
and Custom M4 Stock with Monopod.
With me shooting (I not the greatest) I was getting 1" groups at 100 Yards.
So.....one day I just happened to bring both ARs to the range and decided to swap lowers.
To my surprise I started to shoot tighter groups. 5/8" at best. A friend who was with me and is a better
shot did less than 1/2" groups at 100 yards and the AR felt way smoother.
After that I was sold!!! I sold all 5 of my aluminum lowers and replaced them with Polymer Lowers.
Until you have really used one you can't really say anything bad!
Plum Crazy actually had a employee revolt. The employees took the molds and went and on to form
New Frontier Armory over a year ago. They improved the lower by making it 2 Durometer points harder.
I still have my original PlumCrazy Lower which has over 6000 Shots on the trigger and still feels new.
Over 2500 shots on 5.56/223 and 3500+ shots of 22LR

Good to know first-hand experience. It's piqued my interest, but I've been unwilling.
-
i shot my friends plum crazy lower he bought from you with an upper he put together on the delton website. i can honestly say it shoots just as good as any other ar i've shot, and all together cost less than 700 bucks... i'm a believer, but for some reason, hesitant to own one myself...
-
I feel you it took me a long time to accept mine. Also Glock had a hard time too remember?
I remember when Glock was first introduced. Nearly everyone was a doubting Thomas.
-
yup... and i love glocks!
-
I pick up a lower for my 22lr upper. I am very impressed with the fit (very tight). Also a very nice trigger about 4-5 lbs. I'll give a more detail report once I get it to the range and do a little shooting with it. All in all I would buy another one.

Make sure the hammer clears! It must be checked on 9mm and 22LR installations.
Thanks!

It's got plenty of clearance on mine works prefect.

I had the chance too fire a few rounds with the LW-15 and was sold. I can't wait to come down and put my money down for their next shipment to arrive.

wonder how long that receiver will last under the tension of a sling.
-
Hey Dexter,
Which upper would you recommend for this receiver? i hear that the Stag 2H I believe was a decent upper.
They are all good. We dont recommend you use and plastic or composite upper recievers. They flex too much.
Ie Bushmaster carbon and Chiappa
-
They just came in today.
But we have to register them. either afternoon or tomr. for pick up.
-
I’ll definitely call tomorrow morning.
-
Trigger pull on this lower is sweet...me want!

The upper parts are milspec grade. Made by several mfgrs. We do the same here. They are having trouble getting the polygon barrels. We are also. We have been told next year for the polygon barrels.
-
Speedtek,
Any special price still available to 2aHawaii members? I am thinkerng of getting one. Thanks.
I forgot to mention that i am looking for stripped lower since I have some parts to put on it already.
-
Xring just built me an AR with New Frontier lower and 7.62x39 upper great rifle and great price.Recommend to everyone.
-
 I just bought the complete lower. Good deal and lifetime warranty so I figured worth a try. The slight flex in the polymer lets the lower be made super tight so no slop. Looked good to me so i jumped on board. Can't wait. Too bad my upper is still 3 months out.
-
when will you guys be getting in more of the New Frontier lowers? tried stopping by black friday, but was a little late, all sold out in the morning...
