CV 19 and Honolulu rail

I read a lot of stuff and came across this.

http://www.hawaiifreepress.com/ArticlesMain/tabid/56/ID/25604/Why-Honolulu-Rail-Should-be-Torn-Down-Now.aspx

I wanted to share it.
I think the whole rail thing was
pure Democrat Union BS
I guess I'm not alone in that.
This particular Pod cast channel is pretty racist,
but you get an idea what one of our frequent
commenters on this site and HIS people think
like.

I agree,  cut your losses.

Rail is a billion dollar solution for no actual problem.

You're right about the unions, but don't overlook the crooks in the inner circle who bought up land along the rail's planned route, then turned around and sold that land to the gov't (at our expense) for way more than market value.

Quote
In 2006, the city estimated it would pay about $70 million to buy about 215 full and partial properties along the rail
route. Today, that cost has jumped to $222 million, and you might be surprised to see the properties that the city
has paid more than a million dollars for.

$70 million .... $222 million.  Only off by a factor of 3+.

Math is hard.
