Feels good when your opponents think you're getting help when you're not

kind of the other way around.  it was the local grass-roots pro-2A support that rallied against the big mainland anti-gun corporate.

IMHO.

The only thing true in their post is the warning that they won't stop trying.  they'll be back next year, and the year after, and the year after ...

seems like Colorado AWB is about to be passed out of legislation, queued up for governor signature.  seems it has a lot of similar language as SB3196.  gee whiz, I wonder how come.

I gotta say, we really really really dodged a bullet here, wow.  still hard to believe.   :geekdanc:

the house saw all the opposition in the senate and decided to not even hear the bill...
mahalo to all who wrote testimony and emails, it worked!
this time...

if you can, please take the time to read the testimony and appreciate the hard work and thought and passion people put into this. and note all the females who took the time to get involved!
be ready, for they will try again next year...

here's the link for the testimony, "SB3196_TESTIMONY_JDC_02-23-24_", it's a 38MB file (lots of good stuff inside, and a lot of anti-2A fluff).

Much mahalo also to the guys who took the evidence of testimony interference to legislators to expose what people like Commrade Karl and Bronze Star Chris were trying to do.
Seriously, these are the guys that carried the water.  Thank You!  :shaka:

and that's a sad state of affairs.

I have no regrets, I will vote for biden this year.   Almost anything is better than Trump.  Shame the GOP stood a real chance of winning, but they shot themselves in the foot and picked trump.

proof of raging TDS in Hawaii.  sorry, there isn't a cure, it's terminal.

Cliff Notes:

Hawaii Spirit of Aloha, dead last.  Karl Rhoads can take home his trophy for this accomplishment.  not sure if we really need any additional gun laws on the books.

then Connecticut as 49th worst, NJ as 48th worst.

#1 Best is Kansas, #2 is New Hampshire.

ANd then testify in person and show it to them. Years ago when they tried to ban mags, 1 guy brought a STANAG mag and showed how easy it is to convert from 10rds to 30.
well that certainly doesn't help our side.  was it the same guy that said that HPD burdensome CCW regulations are good?

kind of a rhetorical question.

“We recognize that now is not the opportune time for its implementation, as we navigate the challenges of managing the largest wildfire recovery efforts in Hawaii’s history.” - Kyle Yamashita
not sure what that's got to do with the price of tea in china, what one has to do with the other, but if they cite that as the reason for allowing SB3196 to die, I would be very agreeable, and suddenly say, "for sure, that makes a lot of sense."  and include that with my next-year's testimony.

Yes
being the wise-ass here,
actually means, yes, somebody does know whether the range is open...

but we all know what it meant, so wise-asses not needed.  ;D

they sure went after knives big-time in the UK.  setting the example.

i'm pretty sure my history isn't entirely accurate, but it seems the holy crusades to push the moors and the saracens out of europe (and the holy lands), the christian crusaders have lost that war (500 years later).  Even as far north as Scotland, you have kebab shops and halal stores, burkas/hijabs out in public.

I think it is Ireland, where it was recently decreed that "I love Ireland" is now hate-speech, or something like that, as a result of some algerian immigrant heinous crime.  Govt quickly came to the defense of the invader.

they are lost.

Minnesota has hoisted the Somali flag, and Dearborn Michigan is now palestinian.

this one's an hour-and-a-half long.  I watched it at 1.25 speed.  reflects some soul searching, her view of govt over-reach, political corruption, the deep swamp, etc.

got it.  She shoulda stayed as a bar tender.

leave her alone
just curious, are you referring to my comment?

leave which one alone?  AOC or Ketanji Jackson?

or was that  /sarcasm?
18
AOC is a prime example of what is happening in politics today.  Money talks.  Money is what will get stupid people like her elected.

And her stupid rhetoric will garner the loyalty of the tons of stupid young people out there that don't bother to get educated on the issues but would rather play with their f*ckn tic tok crap on their iphones.

Money drives who goes to congress.  The smart, educated, and innovative candidates that actually would make a difference will be left on the wayside.

"Rico is a category and not a crime" shows AOC is a f*ckn retard.

Prepare for more of her kind in the years to come.  Money from high places are placing these kinds of people to shape the world THEY want to live in.

Not you.
Ketanji Jackson is another one.
can't be bothered with facts or details,  "800 rounds per second", "whatever...", "1st amendment hamstrings the govt".
appointed to SCOTUS for life.

General Discussion / Re: Best online firearms vendors, new and used?
« on: March 20, 2024, 04:38:57 PM »
for used, out-of-production, discontinued stuff, I think GB is your best bet.  But you have to vet the seller:  other items for sale, read the feedbacks, fine print, rating.

for new, currently produced:  your favorite LGS, or your preferred on-line vendor, e.g. Buds, Brownells, PSA, etc, etc, through your friendly FFL.

my fav FFL charges basically $25 - $30 per transaction, but I noticed that when I'm buying a lot of stuff, like a half-dozen-or-more stripped lowers, after about $150 - $200, it becomes a flat rate for the lot.  Yes, S&H and FFL fee is a factor.

if SB3196 passes, I suspect most of those mainland vendors will no longer do any business with Hawaii, parts or FFL items.  Gonna be like the barren wastelands of the Sahara or NY or Massachusetts or Connecticut for us out here on this desert island.  Zip.  Nada.  Zilch.  Nichivo (ничего).
