which 9mm 1911 did you get?
good/bad?
Night Hawk Custom 9mm Falcon (Commander Slide) and the NHC 22 conversion.
Unfortunately, I have owned/used STI (EAGLE), Kimber (TAC PRO II), Spring Field (EMP), and Dan Wesson (POINTMAN) in 9mm using the 1911 platform. All are great but I wanted something out of the box that had all the bells and whistles I was looking for with out having to stray from my 1911 platforms that are 45 caliber. This was the best compromised after speaking to one of our local gunsmiths (former SWAT Commander and 29 years LEO experience) in the mainland. We had a lengthy conversation about how most people succumb to the rambling of internet commandos who love to express their ideas without backing it up from extensive experience and hands down acceptable knowledge. Pick your poison there are a lot of us out here. LOL
I came to a conclusion that it would have been cheaper to spend the cash on the NHC 9mm for my situation. 45 is just too expensive for me and we had about 7k round of 9mm to blow off for this season. I am sure there will be people who will say that I am nuts but after 10 years of handling the 1911's, I am just accustomed to the trigger, mechanics, etc.
I pleasantly surprised when I shot a pepper popper at 100 yards right out of the box at our local range! 3 out of four hits is not bad. Yes there is some skill set involved but it did not happen overnight.
All I can say is that you need to find out what's your objective fit. I believe Hawaii is challenged when it comes to sampling guns before you can actually buy it. I hope what ever you purchase is based on you criteria instead of trusting a bunch of internet commandos like my self. LOL
Good luck guy!
