I'd like to see the new DOJ and A.G. coming down hard on states and cities  that violate individuals 2A God Given Rights.  How about Executive orders abolishing mag capacity bans!

I don't think executive order can overturn state or city laws.

And while Trump is working in 2A stuff... Silencers are so demonized. I wish Trump could get that off the NFA list. We should be able to train without busting our hearing.

If a federal right to carry law was passed making any state permit valid in all 50 states, could an individual state somehow circumvent that law?  I know Hawaii politicians would certainly do their best to find some way out of honoring that.

Possibly.

The last attempt to pass national reciprocity stipulated that the permit holder needed a permit from their State of residence.
Meaning that permit holders from other States (visitors) could carry while here but we (residents) still wouldn't be able to carry here.
Because we have a "may issue" (read won't issue) system, we would be denied our right to carry until the Courts overturn.

That's if that's the version of the reciprocity law that passes.

That is easy.  I'd go back to Washington state, re-establish WA state residency
(use my daughters address), Get a WA drivers license, register to vote there,
renew My old CCW license, and head back here to Hawaii.  My wife stays here
( HI) year round and stays as a Hawaii resident,
so I still get my homeowners exemption.
I'd have to go back to WA every few years to renew Licenses, but it will be a
good chance to visit the family and to buy some guns at a WAC gun show.

Suppressor where never banned federally  , it just required a tax and approval.

The Hearing Protection Act will remove suppressor from the NFA registry .
