Firearms and Accessories / Re: Red Dot for AR-15
« on: November 10, 2022, 10:02:40 PM »
It depends on what kind of setup you want with your AR.  Will it be a jack of all trades, just a range run, or strictly a home defense gun, or will it be used only for hibting?  If you’re looking for a solid all around reasonably priced red dot, I’d get the Primary Arms Holosun 503G.  It’s exclusive to Primary Arms and takes any of the aimpoint micro mounts.  It’s also about 1/2 your budget. I’ve got two, one I’ve had for a couple of years and a few classes, and it’s solid.  The “shake awake” (not shake weight) is a good feature that’ll extend your battery life.

It makes sense. It reduced crime in the Bronx by 50%.

Really?

Oh, you must’ve been talking about after June of this year….

It wasn’t social workers that cleaned up the Bronx, the way I heard it, Jackie Chan came in and rumbled.  Then there was peace on the streets.

“But I will tell you this folks, I made inquiries numerous times to the parks department to find out what’s going on because this is the only publicly owned shooting range, this is where our responsible gun owners have an opportunity to use their weapons,” he added.
Perhaps we need more "publicly owned shooting range(s)"
This would reduce the concentrations of lead.  :D

Here here!  We need a 2nd public range that’s more centrally located.

I thought last year or maybe the year before they shut down the range for a while so they can "rake out" all the lead from the berms.

Or am I imagining it happened.  Could've swear they shut it down a couple of weeks to do that.  I mean yeah, the berms accumulate lead debris again but what are the chances?  Like winning MegaBucks.

IIRC that was only a temporary measure with more fill going in to the backstop and the overhang/eyebrow in UH colors being added as well.

I still find it strange that after all these years KHSC has been in existence that only now C&C is making a big hoopla about lead poisoning.

You mean through all these decades there was no lead poisoning safety protocol in place by the City and County for KHSC?

Would it surprise you if the answer was no?  And it’s not the C&C making the big hoopla over lead poisoning, It’s the Hawaii Cry neighborhood board that’s alleging the range is a danger to the surrounding community.  How does that work exactly?  Range was built first, and then the homes.   ???   You bought a house on a golf course and you’re complaining when an errant golf ball hits your house.

Line was across to Hagen Daz. ETA 25 mins. I didn't wait in line, I asked the person in the front who did.

I'll wait till I go Vegas.

Sundays is the day to go.  No lines.

Or like those people who bought condos next to Iolani, where the football field is.  Then complained about the noise from the football games, band practices, etc.   Like moving in next to a train line and petitioning the train line to be moved. . .

At what point do the parents have a responsibility here?  I don’t take my niece and nephew to Aala Park for good reason.  Out of all the beaches on Oahu, you pick the one that’s the backstop of an active rifle range.    >:(

One of the biggest scams on the mainland for decades has been for someone to move  into an area with a range, then petition to have it shut down because of noise and "safety concerns."

F*cking Carole Baskins would…..

I haven't got around to watching the videos, but read some posts in other forums that it their submission for the UK Rangers replacement rifle.

I'm not 100% schooled up on ITAR, but figured it is easier for the UK to source ARs made outside of the US. There looked like there was Knights Armament and Daniel Defense from the US, but other submissions look like HK and Sig Sauer.

Will this be available in the US? Not that I'm interested, but guessing that they wont see much profit in the US because of all the other AR-15 manufacturers.

I heard it disassembles with just a single punch into 32 pieces.

Probably has to do with the party and arm twisting tactics they employ.

Her father, Mike Gabbard was a strong gun rights supporter and started as a republican.  Switched party's then slowly became antigun.  A few years ago he voted for a couple big gun control bills.  We complained and the next year he turned a new leaf and became strong gun rights again and is still today.

He's not the only one, there's been others like him in the past.  It's making a deal with the devil that gets them.

Have to talk to these legislators and build that relationship to turn them to the light again.

You make it sound like you’re a pastor trying to get the local hooker to put on a dress and come to Sunday service…..

Resist the Thirst Trap brother Ren.  Be strong.  Resist the 🍑  in yoga pants.  We’ll pray for thee.  Sorry, i couldn’t get the reel from IG posted here.

Note the AR with what I think is a Maxum pistol brace - in it’s configuration is illegal in hawaii (the barrel also appears to be sub-16” but I’m not sure.) She can say she’s pro-2a now, so show me.  Lend a hand in the fight in your home state.

HI has been getting worked in court for the past few years.  Now with Bruen ruling, what if the AG starts a special 2A cases only branch?  Cause so far the attorneys representing the state look dumb.  Especially the HI attorney for the 9th circuit 3 judge panel.  After him, HI had to hire a big dog attorney (former Barry atty)  when it went to the 11 judge panel.

Then the recent Yukutake reply was basically lots of hearsay with no supporting facts when the state was trying to justify that HI gun control went back over 100 years.  No sources were sited.

So knowing almost all of HI's laws will be challenged, it would be cheaper to have in house attorney's.

Hawaii has only been a state since ‘59. The reason they can’t/don’t want to cite any sources is because those laws were probably enacted by the Republic of Hawaii shortly after the overthrow of Queen Liliuokalani or the Wicox rebellion.  They probably prohibited Non-American citizens from owning firearms. You know, just in case they got funny ideas about trying to restore the monarchy.

There was another time in US history we fought a war with ourselves and in the end one group prohibited the ownership of firearms by another group out of fear of reprisals…I forget.  I’m sure it’ll come to me.  (Sarcasm)

Look at Desantis he is actively engaged in supporting extremism. They are supporting fascists in Italy, the Oathkeepers, all of these are extremist organizations supported by Republicans.
