Didn't look or clean them for at least 2 years.
(Posted before with rubber grips)

Decided to pull them out from the safe and give them a good cleaning.
Two years ago, I brushed these 3 with RIG grease without grips and placed them in Bore Stores.
No rust or brown spots on cleaning patches...none whatsoever.

Put on the original grips that came with them.
(More classic looking with the original grips)

SW M60   (bought 1976 - 43 yrs old)
SW M66   (bought 1973 - 46 yrs old)  This 1970s model has stainless steel rear sights.
SW M29   (bought 1975 - 44 yrs old)

Dogman,

You know, you right    :D

When it was windy about 2-3 weekends ago, I went to the pistol side and shot 45 and 9mm, and even before that, shot 9mm and 22LR when it was windy about a month ago.
Was fun !
Was just like long time ago when I only used to go to the pistol side.....................

I decided that when it is too windy to shoot 22LR rifle, I going shoot pistol/revolver from now on............

1st time reloading with H110, with 44 magnum.  test gun is my Ruger SBH Hunter, 7.5" barrel
idk the velocity, but recoil was pretty good!   :shaka:

pic would've been better with a little lower lighting, but can sort of see the muzzle blast from the H110

H110 is my favorite magnum powder and 300 BLK powder. Lots of muzzle flash!

build your own custom BFR revolver

took out the S&W 627 Performance center 357 to test some reloads I did in 125 and 110 grain JHP with titegroup
the results were not that impressive.  I think i'll need more powder next time
also brought out some Remington factory cheap loads, 125 grain JHP which felt pretty warm in this short barrel revolver
video and pic is using the Remington 125 grain JHP

I have a 627 with 5” barrel. My target load for this pistol is 125gr Montana Gold Bullet HP over 5.0gr Titegroup in a .357 Starline case and a CCI SPP. Not hot, but Titegroup burns too fast for magnum loads. I think it is in the .38+P range. Another member here took this load and worked it up using HP-38 in his 5” 627. I prefer to use .357 brass even for low power loads to lessen the jump. I also load this same bullet with H110 and it is a BLAST!!! Fireball time and still quite accurate. I also use Starline cases with CCI magnum SPP. Sorry, I can’t remember the charge I use with the H110. Everything is packed up now. But I’m sure you will find plenty of good info to try some loads.

My 627 is not my favorite revolver but it is right up there. I would some day like to pick up an older model 19 and an older 27.
