Waco: Patriots fighting Govt oppression or nut jobs needing arresting.
There guys. I started it for you.
Mods. Feel free to move to appropriate category. Just thought I post it here where the conversation is going on.

Include a poll in your post, aieahound.
-
Poll should have INSUFFICIENT INFORMATION TO COMPUTE
:-)
-
Anyway, it is nutjobs that should have been arrested and constitutionally tried for alleged crimes, instead of being burned alive.
-
Poll added. Good idea KK.
Let me know if I need to remove a couple of the answers.

I call foul on the addition of "wimpy answer" but anyway I voted #4! :shaka:

Guilty as accused.
Couldn't help it PassiveK. :shaka:
I voted #4 too.
Can I vote in my own poll ? That's like stuffing the box.
Macsak, KK, anyone else, waiting for your stuffing the box comments. :shake:

Agree with #4, although I don't know enough to necessarily say they were molesting children. Sure, that's what the government accused them of, but then again, that would be the same government that conducted (botched?) a military assault on US citizens and ended up flambeing them. It's also the same government that accused Randy Weaver of being a dangerous terrorist lunatic, murdered his wife and son, and paralyzed a family friend before failing miserably at convicting any of the Weavers of ANY wrongdoing, including and in spite of the fact that a federal agent got himself killed by the family friend.

I said nut jobz, but only because there wasn't a "I want pie" selection.

David Koresh (or more accurately Vernon Wayne Howell) was a nut job. He claimed to have the gift of prophesy, said he was destined to father a child with the 77-year-old leader of the Branch Dividian sect, and that their child would be "the chosen one."
Yeah, I think "nut-job" is being kind.
The ATF had a legal warrant based on several complaints. One area dealt with child abuse/molesting (he is known to have had several underage "brides"), and the other dealt with neighbor reports of the sounds of automatic firearms and Koresh illegally converting AR-15's into M4/M16 FA rifles.
Based on the warrant, he needed to be arrested. After the arrest, he could post bail, defend himself against the charges, provide evidence to clear his name ... whatever else.

See! That is why we need more info.

Apparently, my parents met him in Texas when I was a kid... they decided he was a nutjob and we went on our way.

Whole thing started in the Deedy trial post.

You mean your medal for commenting on the off-topic nature of comments made on a different thread? I kid, I kid.

I see how the pro-peeps have voted, but not weighed into the discussion. I find that interesting.
