Title: Possible Firearms Training Seminar - Las Vegas
Post by: Funtimes on January 10, 2011, 02:40:52 AM
Tenatively -- Hawaii Concealed Carry is looking at doing a training seminar at the Advanced Tactics and Countermeasures facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.  This is a great courtesy extended to us from Tom Clarke at ATAC.

We are currently looking at some dates and working some final information. At this time, there would be no charge to attend, other than a contribution to Hawaii Defense Foundation. Probably of about 100 bucks.
Looking at maybe five days of instruction and training. This would probably be in April at this time.

There are places where they can get local discounts at Hotels, prices are about 80-150 a night. I don't mind sharing rooms with people, that's up to the group and your personal finances, much cheaper to share a room.  My goal is to train; and my wife has forbade me from visiting downtown =P.  Food and Ammunition are covered for the most part, facilities on the range are pretty much dirt, more dirt, cactus, water, and porta poties.   All types of firearms will probably be at least introduced, in all calibers, of all types. Full auto, .50 etc.

What you would be required to bring:
Open mind, note pad, camera, boots, BDU (or tactical type pants... you don't want to train in jeans), gun belt, ear protection, eye protection (sunglasses, that meet impact standards, ie oakley or comparable.)

Some of the people you would be training with would be here:
