could we set up a PVC stand like that at 25 yards (or meters)?

So, I got tired of having to use wooden stands that were a pain in the ass to set up, and I also wanted a little bit more room for the targets. Then I wanted something else to shoot, so I opted for some steel. When looking for target stand, I was somewhat pissed at the prices, as I didn't feel like spending several hundred dollars on something to hold a target. Luckily, with a little ingenuity and research, this is what I came up with:

Can u use pvc frames??  Though u could only use wood frames?   I was gonna buy a steel target stand to hang a gong but it looked to bulky and heavy for my out of shape @$$ to haul around.

so they let you put the pvc stands out?
did you ask if you can put it closer?

Took both out today and they functioned wonderfully. Need to make some modifications the anchors that secure the plate, but other than that it took a pounding from my mosin and was still good to go at the end of the day.

Also, careful of the type of steel you buy online. My Mosin really kicked this plates ass, and it was supposed to be ar500. I'll try thetargetman_llc next time, unless I can find someone locally.

Next project: diy dueling tree :geekdanc:
