Title: rear pop up sight suggestions?
Post by: bighoks on September 22, 2013, 06:29:43 PM: I'm trying to figure out what kind of rear sight preferably pop up type would work on my AR
Anyone got any suggestions?

I'm not rich, bought one set of Troys on sale while the other & ARMS came with the rifles, but I am a firm believer that they're worth the price since I have had no issues with them holding zero or coming off. Nothing wrong with saving money, but don't complain if you mount airsoft MagPuls on your upper and they pop off! We know nobody does that, of course...

In no particular order.

Whatever you choose you have to ensure they will be on the same sight plain with your fixed front sight post. . For example, a Troy micro rear will never match up with you FSP. Some of the BUIS are matched sets, so be careful.

The new Troy's incorporate a universal mounting system that many are having issues with.

Prior to the change, I think Troy were one of the best.

On my newest build I did not want to take a chance, so I am going to try the MI SPLP.
