Title: Gov. Shutdown and Gun Registration
Post by: OldFaithful on September 30, 2013, 05:09:56 PM
Just heard on the news the the possible government shutdown and furloughs could affect gun registration/permitting at hpd.  Wasn't really any details about it though.  So don't need to register anymore  ;D?

From what I've gathered, NCIS checks won't be affected, so not sure how gun registration is affected, unless hpd will have furloughs

Not too many gov employees will be buying stuff when they're furloughed, all the while our economy and savings/retirement plans tank during this mess. I can hardly wait for the debt limit debate. They need to do one giant toilet flush in DC.

I think someone already did that.  What we are seeing in DC now is the backup resulting from a stopped up sewer line...   it went from bad to "Oh my God!  I can't stand that smell anymore!!"   >:D

I'm effected with the shutdown.  Have to stop spending for a while.  Paycheck will be delay, call in sick, and will not get paid. All annual leave is cancel.  Don't show up for work will be unauthorized absence.  Bad timing, the gun show this weekend.    Maybe the gun show will have a discount for federal workers to enter.
