There is a notice on the range bulletin board. " Khsc will be closed Jan 13 - 29, 2014 for remediation work. "  I assume this includes pistol side.

I would love to go ask. But i always work on the weekends. I tried calling and emailing but no response.
Thus the frustration tone.

This thread is in poor taste, borderline racist, yet still contains some useful info. Carry on.

MLK supported gun rights.  So, how was the question racist? ???  I still have no answer?

Unless you are saying that gun control was devised as a racist tactic to prevent blacks and minorities owning, keeping, and using firearms for self defense against the racist democrats, then ok I see your point...  It is racist.  And they are still trying to do it to this day!

My take on it:  going to a gun range on MLK Day could be seen as insensitive.  That's the day we celebrate the birth of a great civil rights leader who was assassinated using a rifle.  Engaging in activities that more relate to his death than in remembrance of the black victim's life could be colored as a "racist insult".

I guess it's kind of like firing up the pig smoker on Holocaust Remembrance Day?

I guess... that is how he thinks about it.   I think its honoring a civil rights leader by actually practicing a civil right!   ;)  if it was that way would celebrating the fourth of July by going shooting 'insensitive' ?.... I mean thousands of Americans died by the gun during that fight.

Man that is the perfect example of why racism still exists.  It exists because some people WANT it to exist.  That HB is a racist anyway, from reading some of his silly posts in the past....  either that or a big time race baiter.

Who gives a shit.

Society is becoming so politically correct that YOU are going through history books trying to ensure that you do nothing to offend anyone on any particular day.

Live your life, do what you enjoy (as long as its legal) and stop trying to pacify every single whiner in the world.

If I want to go shooting my gun on the day 30-40 or 500 years ago that someone got shot then so be it.

I for one don't live my life walking on eggshells.

Interesting thought but reading into it too much. It's like saying it's insensitive to fly planes on Sept 11s.
